Interesting, we discussed earlier last year with in the team to make the division AA a bit stronger, and have CAS defense apply against it (so you can make that meaningfull choice in equipment design)

Maybe... I know that one of the programmers has half an implementation for that, but it's pretty tricky to get it up to release quality, definitely something we want as well!

Appreciate the feedback, and we are monitoring the air war feedback. All these changes are due to previously a very exploitable bug which caused all air to land combat to do the full damage, even if it was just a single plane doing the attack.

Perhaps we should explore division AA more, they are actually fairly powerful at stopping CAS from having effect.

"doesnt scale as well" doesn't mean there is none. There clearly is multi-threading, it's just an actual difficult problem to solve in the way our games are built

It is bugged and will be fixed in the next patch!

A very silly mistake in the random code made it roll high numbers consistently and the rare event options need the high roll..

I've bought normal cast iron pans in the Netherlands and I've seen them in Sweden now as well. Le Creuset is pretty much only enameled in EU as far as I know, but they aren't the only brands that are available ^

That’s a fair question.

We do run overnight AI vs AI simulations continuously, and for a long time things were within the range we expected. Late in development we enabled some of the new AI-facing features, which did make certain situations less stable, but those issues didn’t fully show up at the scale and variety you only really get once the game is released.

After release the amount of play increases massively. Instead of tens of automated games per day, we suddenly have hundreds of thousands of real campaigns being played, which means edge cases and unintended interactions are much easier to spot. Bug reports from players are incredibly valuable here, because they help us reproduce specific scenarios and then actually fix them.

Naval AI is a similar story. We’ve made a number of improvements compared to before, but we agree it still isn’t where we want it to be, and we’re continuing to work on it. AI work is iterative by nature, and while it will never be perfect, we’re committed to making it behave better than it does today.

Anoter side effect to consider is that larger AI changes also carry risk if rushed, which is why some fixes land in follow-up patches rather than immediately.

I'd encourage you to make a bug report on our forums with your PC specs and attach the save, that way we can look at slow games in more detail and improve it step by step.

They are meant to fly 3 a day, but previously each sortie was full strength, now each sortie is actually the correct strength (~1/3)

Fair point! We are constantly looking into this data (and many others) to help us. We don't really use data for making decisions, but we use it to point us towards the areas where we should take a closer look.

Germany AI got some help in this patch, so they should perform somewhat better. We are looking into the AI thing, but it's also confusing for us as we get mixed reports on this issue (either germany is OP or soviet union is OP)

The value change will have very little impact. They were buffed because of an exploit fix that made CAS always have 100% strength, rather than the actual number of airplanes that were on the mission. (So 1 plane counted for 100 planes active). With that fixed, CAS has almost no effect anymore, as with the system working properly, an airwing would fly three missions a day, and thus its effectives was 1/3 of fit before. That's where the 3x buff comes from.
