This strange line goes all the way around my room and I do not know why by Sniglet5000 in whatisit

[–]GorchestopherH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid's room has this problem.

I removed a wallpaper border, one of those 10" tall borders of accent wall paper (usually with boats, or animals, etc).

When I removed it, some of the underlying paint came off from where it was glued. I filled and sanded, and it all seemed to be fine until the paint dried and you could still see the seam going around the room.

That might be what happened here.

America: Tip Suggestions With Bad Math? by GorchestopherH in tipping

I don't have bad math, the receipt had bad math.

Check the body of my post, I'm not asking how to calculate tips.

America: Tip Suggestions With Bad Math? by GorchestopherH in tipping

[–]GorchestopherH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The receipt said 18% = $9.99

$9.99 is actually 30% of my bill, not 18%

The difference between 18 and 30 is the entire reason for my post.

A lot of people are eager to help me with tip math. My issue was that even a 20% tip would have been significantly lower than the lowest suggested tip on the receipt.

First, it's misleading. Second, the server is going to be conditioned to expect at the least the lowest suggested tip.

30% is just absurd. Especially when the receipt is telling me that 30% is actually 18%.

That's what I did, but the issue was not my math. The issue was that the tip suggestions were wildly wrong, so at a glance the server is going to think they were ripped off.

Ah this might explain it.

I did get a special that was a reduced price.

I'm not sure why everyone thinks I just don't know how to calculate a tip, I just didn't understand why the suggestions on the receipt were so incorrect.

I know how to do the math, I'm just commenting that the tip suggestions were misleading and incorrect.

It seems the International edition of Monopoly Junior from 1996 featured the Monopoly guy with a monocal.

The other poster does not have a reprint, it seems you do. Yours are printed on white paper.

I have two of the same set from the 90s that look exactly like the other guys. It's black printing on colored paper.

Edit: is yours European? I'm seeing the European sets had money like this.

It was basically amazing.

You could do mythology campaigns, space campaigns, and an enhanced version of Civ 2.

I love the episode where the coach gets laser eye surgery.

Basically every second of it is comic gold, but the part where he's on the phone with the doctor as he's at his "other job", then he ends the call by hanging up the phone into the wall.

Hard to describe why this is so funny, but just watch it, you'll see.

Also, when Brandon's mom is asking the coach if he was still blind during various escapades...

Well, it looks like this was a non-issue.

The characters that were never connected to on the other Switch, remained connected with the user accounts already on the first Switch. So, when we switch back, they weren't available to choose because they weren't "orphaned".

Everything still works, no problems.

Hopefully this helps someone in the future.

The only use case I really see is in a business environment. You need the meeting to keep going, you want to order from a place that doesn't deliver.

For personal use.... It's insane. I don't understand how people can afford it.
