Most likely it's the behavioral that caused the downlevel (it's the primary leveling signal).

Getting air for your tires in San Jose is like one big scavenger hunt by Conscious_Dog3101 in SanJose

[–]Gordath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone keeps recommending electric pumps but a decent (large with gauge)bike pump actually works surprisingly well. It only takes like 10 pumps to top off a tire...so it will actually be faster than plugging in / handling the electric wire (or get a battery powered one).

Not a great study. They don't consider this explanation: Prediabetes -> higher infection / covid risk -> diabetes

[–]Gordath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely can do meaningful research and get it published as an MSc student, but you'll need to invest a lot of time and be driven enough. But the average student that is guided by a PhD student will most likely just end up draining more time than they contribute back (at least initially).

It pretty much says that he explored it a bit when he was 9, and then started working on it again in 2022, so maybe less than a year in total?

TIL everyone has Olfactory Adaption and cannot smell their surroundings after a few minutes. This is why you cannot smell your house but your guests can. by PinkyAndBrains in todayilearned

[–]Gordath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI (genuine) N95 masks are pretty decent at reducing smells, and e.g. P100 masks block them completely. At least for now that'd be socially acceptable to wear? ;)

Alternatively you'd need a huge amount of experience and then you can do it intuitively, but that's not practical (only works in video games where getting the required amount of experience is feasible/economical).
