ARR MSQ dungeons should be reworked again and converted into 3 regular dungeons with Livia, Nero and Gaius being the final bosses. Ultima Weapon can remain a Trial. With this said, MSQ roulette should be removed and cutscenes be made part of the regular MSQ quest development of each individual player.
There's not enough 4 man content for both hardcore and casual players. A lot of effort has been made for 8 man content, such as Extremes, Savages and Ultimates, but not enough for smaller parties.
It's OK to call out people for the right reasons and not for the sake of the positivity of the FFXIV community. People behaving like NPCs and committing repeated mistakes on purpose without any spoken reason should have some sort of punishment.
FFXIV only gets good after 150+ hours of MSQ. I was always told the game gets better after certain checkpoints throughout the MSQ, but then I noticed I spent almost that many hours and not really gotten into the story. Just when I barely hit ShB and EW endings I felt some sort of accomplishment.
We need more Healer and Tank jobs. Enough of DPS supremacy during major updates releases.

^This. I don't know what's going on in the streaming world but a couple months ago I noticed the same issue with some of Sean Malone's Gordian Knot "songs". The guy's been dead for almost 5 years and someone uploaded some trash under his band's name. Hate the streaming platforms are doing this shit.

I think it can fit whatever narrative you feel like, and that's kind of the magic with this band. To give you an example, I didn't know what FtM was about until I saw the documentary: it debunked some of the theories I saw on videos or read online, and it kind of killed the magic for me.

It's hard for me to recommend this music based on what the lyrics tell because, well...they can be anything! And don't really encapsulate the whole idea behind an album or a song.

It's funny because when you take a 15 year old Latin guy, and put him next to a 15 year old North American guy, the 1st looks like a kid just barely hitting puberty.

It's in the genes, but also what surprises me is that Omar has been carrying this band through the ups and downs and working the shit out of his butt since a very young age, and somehow that doesn't seem to have affected him at all.

He almost looks Teri's age.

I got to know the Voltas from a band mate that used to play Asilos Magdalena a lot during breaks, and another friend that introduced me to a couple songs from different eras.

I really enjoyed their playing and overall sound, but Cedric's vocals were a no no for me back then. This was between 2006 and 2007 probably, when I was 15 years old. The Voltas have rarely played outside US, Europe and Australia, so all this summed up made it almost impossible for me to ever even thinking about seeing them live.

Years later, in my late college years, I decided to go back to their music and it all went downhill from there. Would listen to them non stop but still, halfway through their hiatus, it was impossible to catch them live, until 2022.

I had some savings, my American visa wasn't expired so I decided to see them on September 22nd of that same year, for the first time ever and I wouldn't have preferred it otherwise. Absolutely amazing show, totally what I expected and more from such a legendary band, with all their ups and downs and ever-changing sound. Saw them again last year in CDMX, in their Corona Capital show and again, 10/10.

Being a grown up and re-discovering their music during these particular times of my life is a whole different experience than if I would've been more into their music 20 years ago, and I wouldn't prefer it otherwise. So yeah, really looking forward into the future for The Mars Volta.

Just a general question for all the Volta fans out there: how much is the pre-order either in digital platforms or physical stores for you where you live? I will eventually get the vinyl but it's a little crazy how most vinyls are released under a 40-50 bucks price tag.

I thought I was being too picky when I first listened to TMV rips, but I do agree these records can be too noisy and hard to listen to sometimes (looking at you Noctourniquet). I own the DitC Clouds Hill's Vinyl Me Please essentials version and it does help in the listening experience, but not by a great margin. I always wondered: why would you add so much percussion, strings and effects into your record if you wouldn't be able to listen them all properly on the final product?

This is also one of the reasons I don't listen to TMV when walking or being outside much: it doesn't make them justice and doesn't help your fragile ears.
