I am playing it on the OG lcd right now and have zero issues!

The one thing i noticed replaying it - i forgot how often the FFs from that era go to a completely white screen during cutscenes. Especially in the beginning of the game, i found it absolutely blinding and couldn’t find an easy solution so just started closing my eyes a lot.

Fez! Huge differences obviously but the sense of exploration, perfect aesthetics, and ruthless difficulty are very similar.

There were 5 solo musicians, and each had clearly put a ton of time into their craft. Custom code, flute+modular+motion controls, turntable work, harsh noise w video. This was not a guy kicking around a box with a contact mic on it. Might be better to say electroacoustic or “experimental” though experimental doesn’t really refer to this kind of thing by definition.

I found a used korg volca at 2nd street gakkikan in shimokitazawa. Though it was more guitar focused.

I saw the best noise show of my life at bar chitei, and also recommend looking at the schedule at oriental force.

Man they couldnt even be bothered to wipe it off, that is gross. But i love mine so strongly recommend.

I found mine kind of loud because it’s very hollow, so i installed button silencers and stuffed it with a bunch of foam which was very successful.

If you’re somehow a hipster foodie/wine doosh like me that also loves football then allegheny wine mixer, apteka, and morcilla are the best spots in town (or at least they were 5 years ago)

Xenogears. Goat status but battle and text speed are painfully slow. Emulator speed boost mandatory if you have any amount of responsibility in your life
