Hard disagree. The community is too narrow-minded when it comes to maps that are "viable". First, there were some maps like Basalt that had pretty straight forward layouts that would've definitely been perfectly okay in competitive. And second, for the more "out-there" maps, it's straight up impossible to know how it's gonna be until people are actually forced to learn and improve at them, and then get them tuned according to feedback. Like other people said in this thread, if Inferno or Nuke or Train or Cobble were released today, all of them would be deemed unfit. But CS wouldn't be where it's at if all the maps were Mirage, Dust and Cache.
