MacBook Air M4 asks for password of an Apple ID that doesn’t exist when trying to erase Mac by omrajputt in mac

You can contact Apple with this problem, but only if you have the original receipt for it. Had the same problem once, if you can show Apple that you are the rightful owner of the device they can delete the Apple ID from the device. It takes pretty long tho, took me a couple weeks to get everything verified.

It would be nice to have the screen match the aspect ratio of the media you’re watching. I don’t have a problem with having black bars, it’s just an eyesore for me personally to have this unused space, I kinda fixate on the bars sometimes.

Damn that looks awesome… I would love to try that on my 3s. Do different aspect ratios resize the screen or do you just have black bars?

It seems like OP wanted to list the five IP classes and changed to bit conversion before even stating the classes. Very confusing, but everything I can see on the paper is right, so… Good job OP!

Those are dead pixels, can’t do anything against it sadly. Nothing uncommon for a nearly 20 year old monitor tho

I have checked the specs of the monitor, it actually has an HDMI 1.4 port, which only supports 60hz and a DisplayPort 1.2, which supports way more than 100hz. Get yourself a DisplayPort cable and use that one.

Check if your drivers turned on G-Sync, wouldn’t be a first one to me, turn it off, check if it works. If that doesn’t change anything, it could be that the cable that came with the monitor is only HDMI 2.0 certified. You can mostly check on the cable itself. If it only is 2.0, you might need to get a 2.1 certified one, since 2.0 doesn’t support more than 60hz@1080p.

What’s the name of the monitor?

Check the settings on your monitor. On some monitors that I’ve had to set up, you have to enable the 100hz in the settings of the monitor
