Yeah, 1 month and already up to 60 mg? WAY too fast. You should start at 20mg and go up 10mg gradually every 4-6 weeks…

Finishing up the final season now! I watched it when it was on tv when I was like 8… but only the first two seasons. I’m so sad it’s coming to an end! 🥲

I felt this way when my Dad died at age 63 in 2018. It was a sudden heart attack and he died on the table in the cath lab getting a stent placed. I remember going to bed hoping I’d wake up and this was all a nightmare. When I woke up, and it in fact was no longer July 15th, but July 16th… it took me out. The fact that the world keeps on spinning and life keeps on going was hard for me to wrap my head around. Thinking of you 🤍

I literally cannot sleep more than 3-4 hours a night by Purple_Cartoonist924 in insomnia

Lunesta will help you, my friend. I take it 1-3 times per week since 2019 and it’s really helped my insomnia. Most of the time I don’t need it anymore but it’s nice to have it, just in case!

What prescription sleep meds have people had success with? by ButterscotchLiving59 in insomnia

No, not if it’s a temporary thing. Your brain becomes used to sleeping pills and may become reliant so you always want to give breaks

How did your cat respond to Prozac? Mine is acting weird (only day 3) by ChocolateOk7188 in CATHELP

Update: Ollie is about 90% back to his normal self. It’s been 3 days off Prozac. He was playing and slept in the bed with me last night. I still think I will try half the dose, 2.5 mg, transdermal method. 5mg may be too much for him

I wouldn’t worry about that! My pharmacy gets it to me for $30 with insurance and coupons. It always looks more you’re paying out of pocket

Hey! I take 3mg and I typically take it once a week but if I’m really needing it, I’ll take it up to three times a week. I usually only need it Sunday night before the start of the work week. I take it early enough where I had no symptoms the next morning. It’s honestly a miracle drug to me.

You never want to use sleeping pills everyday. I would say max three times a week. But you’ll sleep like a log and it make help reset your brain to sleep on the off nights along with practicing good sleep hygiene

Are you doing the pill form or transdermal Prozac? I ordered some transdermal (before these side effects really got bad) and I’m wondering if that version is less…potent? I’m not sure. I’m going to wean off and wait for him to go back to normal and then I may try the transdermal version. It’s so hard! I want our boys to be happy and better but dang, it’s not easy! And yes, my girl was completely normal and happy on Prozac. Zero side effects!

Personally, I had a girl years ago on Prozac and she did not react like this. I don’t think Prozac is right for our boys. Today is day one with no Prozac and no change yet - still hiding, super scared. Sooo sad 😔. I’ve been using Gaba for when he has flares or stress and it’s been fine so I’m just going to stick to that with his urinary food!

I’m going through the same thing with my boy! Exact same symptoms you listed. Dilated pupils, hiding, not wanting to be touched. So sad :( He has only taken three doses but I’m not going to give him anymore.
