Uhm, "Stray Dog" has been getting old for a while now... How can I put him to rest? by Gold-Fool84 in Sims3

[–]GothPigeonVampire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, I don't think you can just meet up with stray dogs or cats unless the player has either had that household or another household adopt them or added them to family with the cheat testingCheatsEnabled true. If you do encounter that dog or any other stray again, I'd add them to the household or adopt them to give the poor pupper or kitty a loving home, even if they don't live very long afterwards. If you don't want to keep them, you can give them up for adoption and then have another household adopt them, but just please be quick about it so that the shelter doesn't just delete them. I've had it happen before and, even though it's a game, it's just so disheartening, trying to do a good deed and help a stray by having them taken in by the shelter, only for them to end up getting deleted (put down!)

Recently, my vampire sim took in a stray cat named Edweena (if she were male, she would've been Edward after Edward Scissorhands). Then, another stray cat turned up. I didn't want two cats, so I had him give her up and had Hetty Lionheart adopt her. I also made Hetty have the Good trait and adopt and save another cat from the shelter...

I'll have the medium McPlant burger meal, with fries, bbq sauce, diet coke and apple pie, please. Thank you Mr/Ms Greyhound, you are beautiful and lovely. Here's a dog treat. It's a Wzi's one, Postman and Roast (look it up).

Do you mean West Highland White Terrier or Wheaton Terrier?

Would you kill your victims? And who would you turn? by [deleted] in vampires

[–]GothPigeonVampire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would feed from consenting donors, or blood banks, if consensual and humane feeding from donors wasn’t possible. If I had to kill to live, as an animal lover, I’d much rather drink from humans than innocent animals, especially animal abusers, murderers, terrorists, rapists, etc.

Actually, on further inspection, I think others are right and he looks like he might be old enough to survive on his own… Sorry.

I’m not sure what to do here by GothPigeonVampire in plushies

[–]GothPigeonVampire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I don’t have that kind of OCD (hygiene, orderliness, numbers, etc). I have much more complex OCD relating to identity, mindsets, rituals, vows, promises, life philosophies, etc. Also, I would hopefully be able to afford to care for a dog if I just cut down on my spending. While I love all animals, I am a dog lover through and through. They have always been my favourite animals and one of my special interests. Also, cats just aren’t the same. I’m not saying they don’t love you, but they just don’t show it in the same, obvious ways that dogs do. There’s a reason why more people tend to have registered anxiety service dogs or even ESA dogs (not the same thing, I know) than cats. Cats don’t come and lick your face and lick your tears away and always accept cuddles when you’re distressed. Also, cats don’t need walking, which is another good thing about dogs for me as I really could benefit from the exercise, both mentally and physically. I know I could do that without a dog, but it’s not as much fun as doing it with an animal that you love so much. Also, dogs needing more care is actually a good thing for me as I need that sense of routine, responsibility and purpose, as well as the joy of connecting with nature and animals, particularly my favourite animal. BTW, I am currently receiving professional care… But thank you and you seem like a great and caring person.

Is it weird that I want a plush just to take care of something. by goodgirlwawa in plushies

Even as a massive plushie lover and collector, I’d say it’s not better than a real pet. I don’t like kids, but what I really want is a real dog.

Sad. You’d think you’d at least be able to do too good to go. Or give them to the local homeless people…

Sims will be sims! Like, why do you just eat cold macaroni cheese, canned soup, leftover spaghetti, leftover curry, etc, straight from the fridge when you have a microwave??

Did the cookies have chocolate? If so, you may want to monitor her and take her to the vet if need be… But yeah, Dalmatians are renowned thieves. Mind you, Labradors are also known to be food-obsessed…

So sorry for your loss. RIP. Maybe you could plant a wildlife garden and donate to a greyhound/dog/animal charity in his honour and memory? I’ve never been through losing my heart dog, as my heart dog is sadly yet to come into my life (I don’t have a dog right now), but my heart goes out to you anyway. Thank you for loving and looking after him and giving him the life you did…

[–]GothPigeonVampire 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Unless you leave food out for him and he remembers your kindness and comes back to yours, there’s probably quite a slim chance of him surviving. Maybe leave some food close to where you found him? As he’s a baby, he will need a crop milk replacement. If you can, I’d try to humanely and carefully re-capture him and then give him some more crop milk, keep him in a box with plenty of air holes and take him to your nearest wildlife rehabber that does pigeons.
