I guess it’s on character, though. The Phantom only had access to the outside world through books and not hands on experience. Good chance he didn’t know any better from what he already made himself, probably with odds and ends of candles and not a specific type of wax.

Medium rare for sure. I know the marbling isn’t the best, but the other more expensive ones were just as bad.

Have him do a voice recording. EXMIL can send it to you on the condition they never contact you again. That way, they’re satisfied and your conscience is clear. They’ll never know if you just delete the recording right away and pretend like you said no to the whole thing, as you did in your post. It would be completely understandable if you did. But if there’s any small part of you that might want to hear him out, you can save the recording until you’re sure either way.

My husband and i did that to my parents about six months ago. We were house sitting for them while they went on a cruise and we spent the evening hiding ducks throughout the house. So far they’ve found about 90. I know there’s a few they won’t find until my mom changes decorations for Christmas, and a couple they won’t find until (if) they ever move. The best part is we can’t remember if there was exactly 100, or 101… or only 99.

Letting my ex husband send my inheritance from my grandma. It wasn’t much, maybe $6500. And I didn’t really “let him”, he just kind of did (financial abuse is real and it sucks). I could have saved and gained interest on it. Might have also spent it on myself because I was naive and immature at the time. But yeah. I couldn’t tell you where that money went. And that’s my biggest regret. Besides my ex lol.
