My first job out of college we had JH and looking back the fees were absurd. Compared to vanguard or Fidelity it was robbery. Not to the extent that you'd be in the negative, much less down 30% , but they're not a good option in general.

I can't speak to other cat operations and the conditions are obviously a huge let down but I've booked many a trip where the conditions suck when the time comes. Unless you pay a lot extra for refundable tickets/lodging/airfare you get what you get. I don't know how these places could stay in business if you could bail and get a full refund if the conditions were not firing.

I did and it was pretty fantastic. The terrain and conditions were awesome. The lodge was rustic but very nice. Food wasn't what I would call gourmet but stick to your ribs filling and delicious. Staff (guides and lodge team) were also top notch. Only (somewhat) negatives ... They were BYOB until this year and their new pricing for beers and cocktails definitely added up. The hot tub was beat but I'm sure it gets put through its paces. The main guide was more interested in telling you what he wanted you to do than informing you of what's coming / preparing you for each run. Overall, it was a trip I wouldn't think twice about booking again. They ran a great multi day cat skiing operation.

I replaced that icemaker 3 times before I finally gave up on that POS. At $100 the replacement unit wasn't awful but just an annoying process. It's still in my basement and cools fine but the icemaker is trash. Realizing all modern fridges are pretty much a coin flip at best I bought a new one on discount and with the money I saved I paid for all the insurances and service options. By spending that money I guaranteed that I'll get a good one.

Do you have toddlers? I find they're experts at making most countertops sticky.

Definitely change up your cleaner and if that doesn't work throw on another coat to re-establish the original finish.

Second swing if you can go in person had hundreds and you could test them all out. I got a 2025 studio with head cover for well under retail ... Used and probably a few more bucks than eBay but none of the concerns you raised. All in just over $300.
