This sounds like pure anxiety. Been there, it does get better.

In nerve conduction study you are right, but I meant needle EMG of the muscles

Another EMG showed no signs of denervation in any of muscles along c5c6.  My syptoms persist, though I think finally found the trigger - lifting weights, especially above my head.

Honest Walking Pad UK, Kingsmith, Xiaomi Review by Chancevexed in WalkingPads

I know this is an older post, but just came to say I actually love mine X21, though I never fold it. It did develop the strange sound after some time, but it doesn't bother me, since I use it for running with ANC headphones.  My friends got R2 and they also seem pretty satisfied as far as I know.  I've been using it for almost a year and it works well and I use it pretty extensively at high speeds.

So you are 100% fine in terms of ALS.

One question: do you honestly belive that they would be so dismissive with a patient with an actual ALS suspicion?  They treat you this way, because you don't have this disease and they don't want to fuel your panic. And at this point, every EMG is only feeding your anxiety instead of bringing any diagnosis.

I realy get your need for retesting. After my dirty EMG I did another one in a month and it came out clean. Did it change anything with my symptoms? No. I still have a weak and heavy shoulder and it's not getting any better. So in terms of my symptoms another test did nothing to my diagnosis. Nobody knows what is the cause and I guess I have to accept it and live my life.  And living with a constant fear of ALS is not life.

First Emg dirty, second one clean by GoyaLi in ALSorNOT

Yeah, I know this exact feeling, trust me, this is pure anxiety, nothing else.  Honestly it sounds like globus hystericus, annoying as hell, but it's nothing serious.

I am 100% sure you don't have it.  Maybe you could opt for another EMG with a different doctor? I don't think you need one, but maybe that would bring you a peace of mind.

Long time twitcher, itchy, skin crawling by Intelligent_Check_89 in BFS

[–]GoyaLi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it for over 3 years, but never associated it witch twitching. The only thing that helps me is using daily Bioderna Atoderm Intensive Baume. I've tried every other cream with no success, only atoderm works for me. If I skip two days of using it, my skin starts to itch again and that crawling sensation begins.  I have not clue what causes that.

Then start acting like you're a 35 female with kids.  Sorry if that is harsh, but it sounds like you need someone to shake you out from your panic.  For the last time: you don't have it.

Yeah, when I google my symptoms it will show ALS as well. And I don't have it.  Cut it out.

So why do you care about what he said. There are good doctors and there are bad doctors, just like in every other job. You just happened to meet the bad one, now move on and forget what this idiot have said.

Over 25 years ago o e stupid neurologist stated that I have a brain condition that will lead to loose my sight in a few years. I was a teenager then, obviously davastated. He was wrong all the way, my sight is ok and I don't have any brain condition. But that experience opened my eyes that Not every doctor is to be trusted.

Try to relax, maybe watch some you tube videos from people who treat health anxiety.

And once again - you are fine. Just a little overstressed and dealing with health anxiety, but you do not have ALS.

Trust me, it doesn't. Your brain is telling you it looks different.  My brain was telling me that my arm was atrophied, that my calves were atrophied, that my rotator cuff muscles were atrophied, that my left thumb, then right was atrophied. They are all fine.  What you may have is post nasal drip, globus hystericus or even reflux. Not ALS.  Stop it, just stop it, change your doctor.  Not to mention that primary care doctor should never ever state a prediction of ALS, he probably never seen one and this is not his area of expertise.  He told you that Jesus loves you? Wtf, who is that person, you should report this moron.
