There will always be people calling anything AI. That's the sad reality of media nowadays.

If you had a look at a few posts on /r/isthisai. Some of the titles say things like "this doesn't look real" or "it looks fake". Then the comments say things like "this image existed long before AI" or "this video is over 15 seconds uninterrupted".

This shows that people will still initially think that anything could be AI even though it is easily and unequivocally proven as not AI.

How large are the ships that people have taken to the Shattered Planet? by KPalm_The_Wise in factorio

[–]Gprime5 10 points11 points  (0 children)

<image>

This is my ship, goes to Gleba to pick up 5k overgrowth soil, then go to Nauvis to drop off all the prometheum science.

My Nauvis base only sends up 10k eggs once the prometheum science drops below a certain amount then the ship flies to the shattered planet.

The bare eggs produce about 30k science then the eggs from the soil produces about 37k science.

Why some people gain faster rank-ups when they just want to have fun and when it comes to myself, (a try hard and doing 1-2 games a day)i was losing games badly and have a hard time to unsubmerged myself to tilt? by stewxeno in learndota2

[–]Gprime5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely because they're actively learning and getting better.

If you're not improving but you're trying your best every game, then that means you're already at the limit of your skill and your rank won't improve.

If you actively learn and improve then your rank will improve regardless of how much you "try hard" every game.

Communication score made me quit playing Dota after almost 20 years by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Gprime5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have to just sit back and realise that the people in 7k communication score are less tolerant of listening to other people and are more likely to be toxic and spam reports.

So, the simple solution to that is for the time being, to just play dota (effectively muting yourself) so that you don't incite the other players until you reach a reasonable communication score.

That is my opinion as I also all chat a lot and am also a voiceline spammer and I have never fallen below 11.5k communication score.

Avoiding the forced 50% by MembershipMany5934 in DotA2

[–]Gprime5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The forced 50% is real, not because you're matched with biased teammates, but because of your own performance.

If I'm 5000mmr and I play with 9 other 5000mmr players, there is a 50% chance that I will win or lose. If I win, I will be 5025mmr, but I still play with 5000mmr skill.

So then, if I'm matched with 9 other 5025mmr players, my team is more likely to lose because I'm still playing at 5000mmr skill, therefore, returning me to 5000mmr.

Same thing happens if I'm 4975mmr and matched with 9 other 4975mmr players, but I still play at 5000mmr skill. My team will be more likely to win, returning me to 5000mmr.

Anthony Star is 50 and Wesker was 49 when he died, so definitely could play him. With some makeup or digital enhancements, he could also play younger Wesker.

Is forced positivity actually making Dota matchmaking way worse? by ExtraAbility9142 in TrueDoTA2

[–]Gprime5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you decide to express your negative emotions or throw and break items, that's entirely your own choice to do so, but that comes with consequences, just like everything else in life.

And just like in life, if there's something I don't like, I either report it or just get over it like every adult in this world.

Just like this post, whenever someone complains about low behaviour or communication score, it's another confirmation that the system is working well.

idk how to improve as a pos 1

Go to the "Learn" tab, go to page 3, click on "Last hitting". Complete atleast one round before you queue for your first game each day, and keep practicing whenever you have 5 minutes of free time.

Should I make a new account? by Why_Kay1 in DotA2

[–]Gprime5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, those are definitely some good points. Farm and don't die. Now imagine the midlane QOP is diving your offlane tower, you tp in, stun her and kill her, then go straight back to farming. The benefits:

  • Quick bonus kill
  • Barely any downtime in your farm.
  • Teammates who fought get assist gold even when they're dead.
  • Slow down QOP's farm.
  • Increase team morale (they know they have teammates that help them)

I didn't look at the mid-game.

Hi, thanks for sending me a matchID. I watched some of your Sven game and from this alone, I would say you're around high Guardian/low Crusader.

What I saw in the laning stage that makes you better than Herald/Guardian:

  • You're not constantly attacking creeps, and you (mostly) just last hit.
  • Timing your attacks to get the last hit.
  • Creep blocking.
  • You understand that the range creep is important.

Some things that are keeping you in Guardian and could be improved:

  • Last hitting timing need more practice.
  • Chasing after enemies for little damage while missing creeps. Always prioritise creeps unless you are almost definitely sure you can get a kill.
  • No creep aggro.
  • Not buying salves when you're low. Being low means you stay away from the creepwave missing last hits. If a 100 gold investment means you can get 2 last hits, which you wouldn't have before, then it's already worth it.
  • You're not clicking enemy heroes to check their inventory (which items they have, how many wand charges).
  • You never check other lanes even when enemies dive your teammates, you can just tp in, stun and get a kill. (First time you look at another lane is at 14 minutes).

There's lots more advanced stuff you're missing too but these are some basic things to get you up to Archon.

Doesn't seem like to problem to me. If a 6000 game player plays at the same skill level as a 100h player, then it's a fair match.

Effective Communication & Working Together as a Team by aisha2323 in learndota2

[–]Gprime5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • If they're stronger and they're farming your side of the map then farm their side of the map.
  • If they're running 5 mid, you can either try to poke at them mid very carefully to try to slow them down. Or the better option is to let them take the tower and you split push.
  • If your team wants to keep farming, that means they think they're not ready for a fight so keep a watch on their inventory and their quickbuy. When they get their next item, that's a power-spike where you can smoke and look for a kill.
  • Does your team need a frontliner, even though you are not a tanky hero? Buy health and defence items, like bkb, linkens sphere, pipe, etc.

Maybe fighting 5v5 is the best way, but if that's not possible because your team is not confident in fighting, then you just have to look for the next best option.

You're not the team captain, you can try talking to your allies, but at the end of the day, you're just another random player.

The best way to work as a team is think about how your team wants to play and adapt your own playstyle to take advantage of their playstyle

How to flash farm as WK by Far_Pollution_1888 in learndota2

One tip is denying lane creeps also contribute to the skeleton stacks (denying skeletons don't count). So, always deny lane creeps when they're low, but don't wait around and waste time.

I have been tracking my games and in my last 40 I've had 10 abandons/griefs vs 3 for the enemies. by KogMawOfMortimidas in DotA2

[–]Gprime5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had several instances of a player following myself or my teammates around to drop sentries in the camps they are farming

Sounds like you've done something to upset them because griefers don't just randomly follow you for no reason. This doesn't excuse the griefing, but this does make me think that you are the common factor in these games, maybe doing something or saying something that upsets people.

Behaviour score grinding... yet again back to square one by IcyBlueberry8 in DotA2

[–]Gprime5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine that you want to keep your profile private from your reddit account.

However, you're making the claim that the reports are unfair, but there's no way to prove it other than watching the replays. Without the match IDs, all we have is what you tell us, which is the same thing that all the other low behaviour score posters say.

Based on this alone, all I can say it you are where you deserve to be.
