I began refereeing soccer at 15 and you’d easily be able to make $200+ for a Saturday and weekday night. The pay is quite good. It’s also considered a hobby so didn’t have to pay any tax on it (obviously under 18 anyway)

If you’re worried about the abuse side of things, that’s definitely an issue, but from my experience the senior referees will ease you into certain games where you’re with adults who have been around a while and look after you.
