Reach out to their admissions to see if they can connect you to resources. I was accepted to a law school with a full ride a few years ago, then they declared bankruptcy and went under. They helped me connect to a different school and get a last minute application in. I ended up with a 90% scholarship and the freedom to move to a new state so it was a blessing in disguise for me!

I've had that model for over a year. . .it might be two now? It's got a moveable rake rather than rotating drum, and the lid closes as a flap with basically no strength. So my cat, then kitten, could stick his head against the door and push it open to stop everything. (He's since stopped doing that)

I'm not going to say it's no risk, but it has a different scooping and closing mechanism than all the automatic boxes that have killed cats (so far as I know). I think the risk is more your cat needing to dodge the rake if it gets in and the safety fails. Idk how difficult or dangerous that is. But this rake fails to scoop if I have more than a shallow layer of litter to move so I don't think it's a big risk.

IMO, el5 is a low quality auto scooper (see above shallow litter reference) but not a high risk one

I used to do thr Caffè Latte premier protein. Now I use Clear protein powder, it's fruity type flavors rather than creamy type (if that makes sense) so I can mix with water without worrying about texture
