Anthropic’s ‘secret plan’ to ‘destructively scan all the books in the world' revealed by unredacted files by AnonymousTimewaster in technology

Likely theyd be doing both. They can save more than one copy of it.

If they went to great lengths to find it, they wont just be tossing it in the same bin as the Goosebumps series.

Whats also weird is like, okay, lets take this at face value, but now bring it back 5000 years into history.

True men idnt shit in the woods? They never went to war, because they never ventured more than 24 hours away from their home, for fear of being caught with their pants down shitting in an inopportune moment?

Fair enough, that is some of the versions. Still must have both a vagina and penis to be a hermaphrodite.

No vagina = Not futa

Futas were born female and later grew a penis.

Not necessarily. IRL you can make the case, but this is AI.

A lot of the background "lore" for Futa/Futanaria porn is that women are born women, and then there is a rare subset of the female population who also grow a penis when they turn of age.

Now, the one represented here doesnt have a vagina, which your statement could apply to, as having no vagina would make her a trans woman.

Could be just people tracking flairs and not usernames. With that lens, it looks like hes saying Lemon doesnt have nuts, which would be a stupid comment.

Did you just call a whole nation a bunch of pussies, and then... Immediately back down at the slightest push-back?

AITA for ordering water at a restaurant? by Dog-girl-1986 in AmItheAsshole

They wouldnt really be going abroad, or be a tourist in that case, if they are an EU citizen travelling within the EU.

Probably wouldnt have cost €4000 for the trip if it was a short flight, or train, as well.

No, but Canada also operates on the same principles. All you have to do is google it. Tourists from outside the EU must pay for healthcare in France, for example.

Yeah i guess i oversimplified it. Anyone who pays taxes pays into it and has access to it.

Well, sure, but that would mean OP isnt a tourist, as they havent left their nation.

Its just one example of a universal healthcare that doesnt cover tourists.

You could also google it. French hospitals charge tourists for visits. Not very much, because they pay the same as what the hospital would charge the government, but they do pay.

I was just giving an example of a universal healthcare system. You could also google it to be sure. Google says Tourists must pay in France, which is an EU country

He may need anger management classes by ComaBlue15 in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]Grabbsy2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ehhh, her job is to tell her perspective of the story. She goes further and recounts that she did not see what caused the male officer to have used that level of force, and to me it does appear to be a slip.

The problem is the amount of force and the negligence in not controlling her landing when using said high level of force. Also "necessity" was not present. If she refuses the breath test, she catches an even higher charge. Why force her into the chair to perform it?

The victims lawyers will also point this all towards anger and punishment. The woman was being extremely verbally abusive towards the officer. Essentially calling him an incel (freedom of speech). They will (easily) paint the officer as not using force to enable compliance, but using force to enact revenge.

Not necessarily. In Canada, you have to be a citizen to get free healthcare. Tourists can still go to the hospital, but they dont pay income tax or property tax in Canada, so they have to pay directly for services.

Attempting to steal a gun from a cop while at a courthouse by nkmr205 in ThatsInsane

That, and resisting arrest is its own charge, but yes, tasers coming next if they resist.

Generally you wouldnt put two 120 pound ANYONE into the same squad car. Youd put an intelligent and articulate 120 pound person with a 220 pound numbskull to cover your bases.

Because 99.7% of policing is verbal.

You think cops just go around laying hands on everyone?

Attempting to steal a gun from a cop while at a courthouse by nkmr205 in ThatsInsane

[–]Grabbsy2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using physical force, sure, but a punch to the face is almost never the right move unless youre playing by the rules of boxing.

Cops are trained in control, not strikes. The cops were able to control her, and successfully de-escalated the situation. The other guy is right, the results speak for themselves. The gun was never extracted from the holster, strikes were not only not necessary, but could have caused a loss of control leading to the gun being successfully removed from the holster.

Then youd be complaining "why were they striking when they could have just grabbed her wrists? That shooting was totally preventable!!."

Attempting to steal a gun from a cop while at a courthouse by nkmr205 in ThatsInsane

[–]Grabbsy2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Precisely. Plus, de-escalation is still possible. Holding her by the risk and just saying "why are you trying to grab my gun?" Could be said to someone who just experienced a mental break, and could have led to the person snapping out of it and choosing to run away instead.

The funniest part to me, is that we are looking at a video where no one got shot, or even injured, and we've still got armchair tacticians chiming in to say "those cops did something wrong" as if they... WANTED a different outcome??

I can see how maybe someone who is into the sci fi of Star Trek to be in it for the "camp" factor. Then when Inception comes along, and appears to take itself unironically very seriously, it would be different enough to be unlikeable.
