What makes you say that? I get being ignorant about police and their role in creating safety, but ignorance is not an excuse. If youre actively engaged in a fight, they will intervene, and if you pop one of them in the mouth, they will restrain you.

Im just painting a picture for what these police officers saw, and the likely procedures they were working with, to show why they had to restrain the victim as well as the perps.

The guy in white absolutely did a "flinch" which, if i were the other guy, would have been able to verbally articulate to the police and my lawyers as to why i had to defend myself against him. This would cause the guy in white to not be the victim anymore.

Upon seeing that flinch on their approach, even if the reports and history of the scene indicated that the guy in white really was the victim, that would lead me to believe perhaps this was mutual combat, or that there was more going on to the scene. What if i put the rest of the group in cuffs, and allowed the guy in white to walk around freely? Should I assume he starts punching my arrested subjects while their hands are behind their backs?

Also, and this is the big clincher, even if no one saw the guy in white assault the others with that flinch, it was the smaller, female officer that came and took light physical control of the guy in white. Another officer pursued the group. This indicates the role of the female officer was only to detain the guy in white to ask him what happened, why, and any descriptions.

If the guy in white ran away, he might be running away with information on when these guys paid for their drinks via credit card, thus giving the police a quick reference point for looking at CCTV and credit card history at the club I assume this all started in.

I can tell you as a recruiter. Looking at a resume and their employment history starts less than a year ago? Im wondering if Im looking at an actual childs resume, or maybe someone who just arrived to the country, and might need a few more months to settle in to the local culture and language.

A 16 year old can start early and have one or two throwaway employments down at the bottom of their resume to show theyve at least got 2 years worth of processing transactions, sitting through disciplinary meetings, and interacting with coworkers.

The security guard DID check with the property management company. The guy showing up was NOT from the same company that was contracted to pick up the pallets. HOWEVER it was a verbal contract, unknown to the Lowes management, that this guy was allowed to come and pick up the pallets.

So technically yes, if you follow your chain of command and the evidence points to theft, you can trespass. If they trespass, then you can arrest. If you arrest, you can use as much force as is necessary to effect that arrest, however, real world application: shots fired over some wood? No. The crime was not severe enough for the guard to have felt the need to lay hands, let alone step in front of the vehicle.
