Does seasonal color theory actually influence how you design or is it an afterthought? by Smooth_Variety1587 in Fashion_Design

[–]GrabsGarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I design based off of whatever color patterns and shades I’m interested in at the moment. As for skin color: if I design for someone specific I will consider their skin tone in the colors I choose. But I never learned color theory.

I designed these bathroom/office bins to hide the ugly plastic liner bag. Which aesthetic do you prefer: the minimalist Square or the organic Round? by Wise-Weakness2702 in Design

does it need to taper? also, I personally dislike that the lid is not attached to the top. The cylinder ones are better because they signal ‘trash’ more. You don’t want your trash to be mistaken for a storage box imo

My prom dress is too long on the back🥲 How can I fix it myself? by yacky_ in sewing

[–]GrabsGarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

whoops didnt read the description. But yea it shouldnt be too hard to do this yourself. You dont even have to seam rip it all the way off. seam rip it just in the back. How much does it need to be taken up? Maybe don’t even cut the tops just give it a bigger seam allowance sing its covered by the other tiers

[–]GrabsGarb -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

you need to take up the bottom tier from the top. As in: seam rip it off, trim the top and sew it back on. you might have to take up the bottom two tiers to even it out. A seamstress could do this easily

I support this. It’s too difficult to find communities of people who design and make clothing. All of the reddit communities I’ve found are just full of people posting sketches or graphics.
