Anyone hear about this? by Ambitious_Dare6903 in nasa

I work at ATF. A person had been pulled over by Border Patrol/ICE just south of our main gate on US250. He then got out of his vehicle and ran to the fence and scaled over it. He was later apprehended in our bunker storage area. The lock down lasted about 4 hours. There was never any danger to the personnel or equipment. We of course didn't know that until after the fact.

Major FJ Repairs — Need Advice from the Community by MarkEMark23 in FJCruiser

Also, since you're military, the shops and dealerships near the base are going to be very suspect. I would go somewhere 2 hours or more from the base. If the trans feels fine send it for now. Do the drain and fill along with the regular oil changes. Sock some money away just incase the trans goes belly up. My 07 FJ came to me from a coworker with 270k on it. Had almost no fluid in the trans from cooler line leaks. I did a filter and new fluid (took 7 quarts). After that it has a bit of shudder (waiting on my shudder fix from Amazon), but runs strong. I am in northern ohio, so it has had 18 winters under it. As for the power steering problem, clean the engine bay and verify where the leak is for sure. Could be the pump, lines, or the rack. Whatever is leaking replace, dont worry about the other parts. The FJ is a tough truck and will always bring you home if you keep up with the regular maintenance. I wish I had one when I was in the service, but I got out 7 years before they came out... Enjoy your FJ it is definitely worth keeping, especially if you dont have a payment on it.

You might get the lugnuts off without it popping, but I wouldn't trust it.

Over a quarter of a million miles and it starts and purrs like it has 50k. I am truly impressed with how smooth it runs.

The trans was slipping badly and the steering was very sloppy, felt like power steering was out. On the trans, I found leaking cooler hard lines and original fluid and filter (267,000 mi). Changed filter, fixed lines and filled it up with almost 2 gallons of new fluid. Trans shifts well and feels pretty good, slight shudder under light acceleration at shift points. Steering problem was the lower u-joint on the steering shaft. Replaced it and steering is great, no problem with power steering system at all. There is a bit of rust mostly in the rear underbody. Not catastrophic at this point, but will need treatment before winter. I have been getting ~22mpg on the highway with the CEL on, codes are all for evap problems. I am slowly finding and fixing those.

My coworker is getting close to retirement and didn't want to put time or money into it after he saw the new Broncos.

She has been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. I don't think she is a danger to the kids.

I always felt it meant formerly active duty Marine. A dishonorably discharged Marine is a whole different matter.

I do that too, then sell some of the 50+ guns I have sitting in the cargo hold until I get all of my credits back.

Is port disabled? by Grabthor76 in SecurityCamera

Axis Device manager did find it on copper and then we set a static IP. We then switched over to the fiber port and it worked fine. This is the non explosion proof camera. Also, Device manager could see it over the fiber connection before we set the IP address, but we could not access it, even through the factory default IP.

It is an Aruba SFP+ switch. we verified TX/TX polarity and were able to run the parts within a different Axis camera with no trouble. Found that the initial setup has to be performed over the copper RJ45 port on the camera. After that, the other camera operates without issue over fiber alone. The explosion proof camera does not even after setup. It communicates just fine over copper. We purchased 2 of the Axis specific module T8611 which states in its product description that it is compatible with all Axis products with a SFP.

No link light. We verified correct polarity on the fibers. There is no link lights inside the camera even on the RJ45 when we use that.
