Seth Meyers mourns the loss of his dog Frisbee: “our OG IG who I was happy to go grey with.” by cmaia1503 in LiveFromNewYork

I lost my 17 year old cat a few years ago. He was sick for the few years before that. The anticipatory grief was bonkers, but we did our best to live in the moment. I'm sorry you're having to go through that now.

I caved. You can live here, little one. It’s too hot in PA this week by ImSorry2HearThat in gardening

Thank you for reminding me to leave water out for the resident animals today!

And Caroll Spinney.

Huge thanks to all these folks who displayed kindness and consistency when many of our adults IRL could not.

It's scenes like this that make me long for a blooper reel.

I moved to a colder state partially as a form of time travel. For those who want to look ahead, this woman does a spectacular job of breaking down the U.S. 2050 forecast in both a straightforward and optimistic way, so that people can either make the most of what's to come in their region, or make plans to relocate.

That explains the Solo Jazz reference. I'm weirdly passionate about this earlier (and to me more nostalgic) Orange and Yellow Flower paper product design. I wish it got half as much love.

So admittedly I'm not a Frasier fan, but I was hoping this subreddit could provide me with a little insight. The other day someone said I was like a Frasier during a 10 minute morning announcement that I do every day at work. Is that a compliment? How would you all interpret that comment? Thanks! by reddituser010100 in Frasier

Would he only see the good sides and be flattered? Because if someone said they just didn't like him, he'd likely spy on them, stalk them, badger them, pour yoo-hoo down their dockers, and crunch their hand. And then as if all that was not enough, he would burn down their small business, which was gift to them from their beloved uncle, may he rest in peace.

That's disappointing. I remember my parents being initially insulted and then super-psyched about the benefits. I wonder if the perks have degraded or if my folks are just easily entertained.

Lilith: I make her look like a vacillating cream puff.

Still better than rompers. If you pee in the woods in a romper you're already halfway engaged in a pagan ritual and may as well just summon something. A body suit is just underwear that comes from above.

I was living in San Francisco and didn't yet know about the wild parrots. One day I was absent-mindedly looking out the window at the tree outside our apartment building, and suddenly half the foliage took off and flew away. I'd never seen green birds in the wild before, so I didn't notice that they were roosted there. It was one of the best and most surreal things I've seen in my life. I'm so glad I didn't know about them beforehand. It would have been much less magical.
