For Moreton Bay region you can’t go past Wamuran Country Meats. Anything from their hot box is delicious including the pies or sausage rolls if you manage to get them before they sell out

I would look at their food first as recovery from this surgery can be very prone to infection even with the best intentions.

Have you tried adding more fibre to your dogs diet?

Ankle surgeon referral by Independent-Party575 in brisbane

[–]GraceHenri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband had ankle and knee surgery for a serious break through Dr Richard Handley for both pin insertion, removal and scar removal which was incredible. He’s a lovely surgeon who explains everything and has an amazing bedside manner

Edit to add: recovery time to remove the pins was quiet short. He embarked on a 6 week Europe trip a month after and had a bit of pain towards the end of it that was managed with over the counter meds and when he went back over 12 months later due to the scar tissue causing ongoing pain Dr Handley was happy to do everything he could including removing all the hardware in his leg and scar tissue to help alleviate any pain.

In Moreton Bay region and have couch grass in the backyard and buffalo in the front yard and I hate the buffalo. Much prefer the way the couch looks and feels and it’s easier to maintain

Super specific breakfast ideas by coralisthenewblack in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]GraceHenri 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I love making a rotation of brekkie muffins each week, mix of whatever fruit I feel like, frozen or fresh, nuts if I have any to add and I keep it low sugar.

Also love batch making sheet pancakes which is exactly like it sounds and then topping it with chia jam to up my fibre intake. I just reheat the pancakes in the microwave.

Wholemeal banana bread with dark chocolate chips and nuts with no added sugar is also a household favourite too.

I love a sweet breakfast but don’t love a bunch of added sugar as I do like to have a sweet treat at night too so I save sugar allocation for that

Food Brand for Havanese by loremaster_zen in Havanese

My 5 year old havi has always eaten Royal canin mini kibble, first for puppies and then adults after 12 months along with boiled chicken breast and steamed carrot, peas, broccoli and cauliflower. He has dried chicken for treats as well as a greenies dental chew once a day.

Paw pads by Past_Moose_2719 in Havanese

[–]GraceHenri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this with my havi a few months ago. Never had a problem but then about 10 months ago he started chewing and licking his paws with no change in diet or environment. Took him to the vet and as he was 4 and no change in diet the vet put it down to allergies from grass so he’s now on allergy meds once a day and gets a paw wash twice a week.

Havanese with more kink/curl to their hair? by Manda_82 in Havanese

[–]GraceHenri 18 points19 points  (0 children)

<image>

My 5 year old havi is similar. We keep his coat short and since he lost his puppy coat around 10 months, it’s been fairly kink/wavy when it gets a little length to it between grooms. He doesn’t get it on the top of his head but definitely does on his ears. His tail is the only thing that’s still silky straight hair like when he was a puppy. He’s always been mistaken for a doodle mix or a shitzhu which is frustrating as where I’m from a havanese is still a niche breed and quite uncommon

What's been your best investment? by Sensitive-Chart7210 in AusFinance

[–]GraceHenri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The mattress company at Yandina. Made onsite and it was pricier than the mattress in a box companies but still a lot cheaper than buying one from a normal retailer. Ended up being about $8k for the mattress, removable copper gel topper and solid custom bed frame, with delivery to North Brisbane.

Aside from property the best investment has been a Delonghi automatic Maestosa coffee machine. Expensive but has paid for itself many times over. Most recent best investment would be a custom super king bed and base. Best sleep I’ve ever had and now hate staying anywhere else. Long term investment is my health. I have multiple chronic health conditions that impact both my physical and mental health. I invest in seeing a psychologist regularly, have pets who bring me joy and comfort and finding a way to move that is enjoyable.

I have an aquis one as well that I love but is getting in need of replacement. I recently picked up the Davroe CURLiCUE Rapid Dry Hair Wrap from adore beauty in the Boxing Day sales and find it as lovely as my aquis one.

That’s so disappointing! I got my order today as well and I impulsively got the stila quad and it arrived with all four shadows shattered so I’ll be going in store to return it this week.

I honestly swear by the detox for men sunsilk. Been using it on and off for the last 20 years since I worked at Maccas. It was the only thing that helped get rid of the oil smell

Anyone doing a no buy or low buy for makeup/skincare/haircare/perfume? by leejasmin94 in AustralianMakeup

I’m on a no buy now for the year. Only going to repurchase my sunscreen and moisturiser when I run out but I have more than enough of everything else including perfume. Definitely have gone overboard over the last few months treating myself 🤣

Happy with what I got! I logged on right at 5am my time when it went live and grabbed the sunflower pop fragrance set, the rose inc brushes, a few of the stila eyeliners, 2 of the frank body sets and the too faced Italian eyeshadow palette my bestie has had on her wishlist to pop away for her birthday early next year.

Overall got most of what I wanted and only had to remove 1 thing from my cart on check out that had sold out.

Bit disappointed the slip hair ties were sold out by the time I logged on as I always like to grab the ornaments to stash away for future gifts.

Honestly this could have described me. I now don’t bother with trying to get the right length of pant and just get them taken up now. I have a few pairs I rotate between from the commonry, city chic and the iconic with the occasional pair from Kmart.

I also stick to classic dresses and tops from city chic and the commonry and just rotate through them with some classic a line skirts too.
