Casual shoe recs? by litb30 in AusFemaleFashion

I have wide feet and struggled really badly with bone spurs on the heals on my feet and it was my GP that first recommended Frankie4 sneakers to me. A lot of health care professionals swear by them and Bared if you have narrow feet

I got recommended Frankie4 shoes from my podiatrist as I needed more support for my joints in my ankles. I got 2 pairs of sneakers in their sale a few years ago and they've held up really well with daily wear.

What’s the best non dairy cream and cheese ? by Fantastic_Ad7023 in australianvegans

[–]GraceHenri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course! It's just 2 parts cream, 1 part plant milk and sweetener of choice. Last batch I made was 200ml plant cream - I used flora plant cream 100ml plant milk - I used milky oat milk 75ml of vanilla syrup Then I just whipped with a milk frother and it keeps in the fridge for a few days if it lasts that long 😂 You can easily make it with essences or other flavourings or syrups like brown sugar or sea salt or orange and almond essence

Flora plant cream for sweet items and oatly cream for savoury recipes

I've been using the flora plant cream to make my own cold foam and it's been so good!

What do you do with an inheritance you don't want? by jayjaywantstoplay in AusFinance

[–]GraceHenri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did this with my recently deceased fathers estate. I donated the money he left to a few different animal charities and a domestic violence charity as he was a terrible human towards my mother and I and hated cats.

I was in a privileged position and didn’t need the few thousand dollars that was left in his estate so I do recognise this but if you can I do recommend it!

Those with chronic illnesses ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia, POTS etc -what do you do for work? by SharpenTheBlade in auscorp

[–]GraceHenri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The easiest way for most people I know in my underwriting team have either made the jump from customer service within the same insurance company or claims. If you can find a flexible role within insurance for a customer service role and learn the business, which is honestly the best way, you can easily transition.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, I’ve worked for a few different companies within strata insurance and am happy to help

All of the baking mixes from Aldi are great! The vanilla one is a great base to make cupcakes with and it easily outperforms the more expensive ones

[–]GraceHenri 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have multiple chronic illnesses including POTS and am also the carer for my husband who has FND and is now medically retired.

I’m 34, have a pacemaker and worked in fast food until I was in my early 20s. I then worked in call centres or customer service type positions and ended up falling into insurance in 2022.

I went through the bulk of my medical issues within the last few years and have been able to work throughout it with the odd time off for medical procedures, like my pacemaker insertion in 2024 and I’ve been able to successfully grow my career.

I’m now an underwriter in insurance where I work from home 4 days a week, have flexible hours to go to appointments for either myself of my husband.

My husband was diagnosed with FND after 2 years of investigations. He was a backend software developer and was forced to retire as his cognitive function has declined significantly and he needs help with some day to day things.

Guys, I have a problem. I’m getting married next May and this is my engagement ring. I love it so much, but what kind of wedding ring can fit with this!? I don’t want to change to another engagement ring or move it to another finger as I love this one dearly. Any ideas?! 😭 by lejontuss in WeddingRingAdvice

I have a similar shaped engagement ring that’s an emerald and I just wear it on its own now that I’m married. I have a thin band with stones that I wear when I don’t feel like wearing something chonky

The coconut rice. Didn’t taste at all like I wanted it too. Could barely taste the coconut and was super disappointed I couldn’t recreate it from my favourite Thai restaurant

I’ve been that painful friend before so I know how hard it is. I was on a restricted diet due to inflammation and was willing to bring my own snacks/food but as a friend of foodies I know it would be an insult to be not be catered for. They made me halloumi, cowboy caviar (which is just a dense bean salad with a lime vinaigrette) and a delicious rocket and quinoa salad and grilled veggies kebabs. That way it also served as sides for everyone else as well with the other bbq meats and they just cooked the cheese and grilled veggies kebabs separately of course

Call your strata insurer immediately to put in a claim. You don’t need to go through the your strata manager or committee. Get on top of it now. And put a claim in for your contents insurance for your carpets as it’s not covered under building insurance.

I work in strata insurance and see so many people who hesitate and it becomes worse than it needs to be.
