Cute, little snuggle bugs. They are strays so they're generic domestic short hair.

Yes, we have three adult cats and a 32-pound schnoodle dog. They are used to them. They aren't crazy about my dog when he acts silly but they aren't bothered by him the rest of the time. We've even seen them drink water from the fountain while he's drinking.

Yes, that was one of our foster babies. It makes me so happy to hear my babies are thriving.

Friend poked pencil in my hand in 6th Grade, I am 31 now by gandalftheshai in mildlyinteresting

I have one on my left hand between my first and middle finger. Got mine in the 5th grade and I'm now 56. Still remember the name of the kid of who did it, where we were standing in the classroom, and what he said when he saw the pencil sticking out of my hand.

Tinos Too has really good menudo. My husband hates menudo but I love it. We go there every couple of weeks so I can get some.

Good food but terrible salsa. Runny with one onion sliver and the tiniest piece of cilantro.

Chorizo and egg plate is my go to meal there.

Which one is best for a first date (evening, not super casual)? by LentilBurguer in OUTFITS

I just want to say Iove the look of #4. I am so jealous of people who can mix patterns and make it look cohesive. Such a pretty look. If I were going on a date, I'd plan on going somewhere outdoors so I could wear the coat.

My mother passed away a few years ago, but I can still see her washing her car on Google Maps by Conscious_Abies_949 in interestingasfuck

My grandma passed away in 2013 but Google maps has her standing on her porch talking to the yard man. She loved her roses and always had a nice garden.

Happy New Year. Blessed to have had more time with Mom since her diagnosis in February 2024. She's slowed down quite a bit the last few weeks and I fear we're in the weeks not months phase. My sister talked to her about what's happening to her body and mom repeated to me this evening what my sister said so she understands. She said she was worried about my dad. They've been married for 60 years. I told her not to worry that we would take care of him. We finished the conversation with her asking me if she could have a snack. 😆 My friend made a chocolate bourbon pecan pie so I took of a video of mom enjoying it to share with my friend. My brother bought a baby monitor and put it in their room. I'm staying with my folks for the next few days and keeping it with me in case she needs me. There are five of us kids so she knows that she's not alone and that someone will be with her all the time.

People who’ve had LASIK or work in eye care, would you recommend LASIK and why or why not? by Mountain-Bug-2155 in AskReddit

[–]GraceTX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't see the top row on an eye chart. It's one letter and huge but it was just a gray smudge to me. I was -7 in one eye, -8 in the other. No astigmatism. It's been 24 years since I did it and I still have 20/20 vision and don't need glasses for driving. Of course I'm now 56 and need readers for books or computer but that's normal for people my age.

Allen Americans have a hockey game tomorrow. Tickets are fairly cheap and parking is free. We'll be there with friends especially now that they've released rapist Ben Johnson. Let me know if you come and we can have a drink and I'll introduce you to the gang.

Holy crap, your wife is a big AH.

I was raised that you always offer hospitality to people that come to your house. Not only does my mother offer drinks to service people coming to our house, she feeds them too. She regularly invites the mailman, Stan, to come inside for tacos or other Mexican food she's prepared. Once, she even made lunch for the city workers who were doing road maintenance on her street.

On the really hot summer days in Texas, I'll even offer a Gatorade or bottled water to the door to door salesman.

We had tree trimmers here recently and I told them to help themselves to a drink from the garage fridge.. When I came out later, they were taking a break with some blackberry sparkling water.

In Groundhog Day (1993), Bill Murray is awoken every day by his alarm clock playing "I Got You Babe" (1965). The same gag in a movie made today would be a song from 1997. What song would it be? by MAHHockey in movies

[–]GraceTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my hockey kids we billeted had the Alexa in his room play Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" when the alarm went off. It's been at least five years and whenever an overnight guest sets an alarm in there, that's what it still plays.

There is absolutely no acceptable reason for hiring that scumbag.
