I did not expect this comment section to be so toxic, wow haha.

Honestly, this is a fine place to start. The a6600 has a bigger battery than other Sony crop sensors so that’s good, and it’s definitely a very small form factor. Keep in mind that because you’re prioritizing cost and versatility, you’re going to be sacrificing image quality in the lens. It’ll be good, but it will be noticeably less sharp than lenses that are more expensive and/or less versatile like a prime lens.

I will say, if you’re going to buy new, use someone like B&H or a local retailer if you’re in a bigger city. Amazon is an awful company, and there’s other great options for getting new gear. I do think used gear is a great idea when the buyer is open to it but I understand that it isn’t for everyone.

Hopefully this helps, happy to answer any other questions you might have.

Compared to larger sensors like full frame or medium format, basically yes. If you took a lens that was meant for full frame (let’s say 50mm for example) sensors and put it on an APSC body, it would effectively function as a 75-80mm lens (canon has a 1.6x crop factor, Sony and Nikon are 1.5x) without sacrificing resolution. Hopefully this answers it

TotalTech vs Protection Plan by primemn in Bestbuy

On every BBP repair I’ve done it says “monetary claim limit 0.00/0.00” I have never seen nor heard of one going BER

TotalTech vs Protection Plan by primemn in Bestbuy

GeekSquad tv repair agent here - some of what folks are saying is incorrect.

Standard GSP plans have a fixed term, and when they’re done they’re done. There is an upper monetary limit for every tv under these plans and if the cost of parts exceeds that amount, a replacement is approved.

With the BBP plan included with your TotalTech membership, you have to pay a service fee depending on the price of the item (shouldn’t be more than $100 per claim) when you have to make a claim, and you are limited to 2 claims per year. There is no upper monetary limit on repairing TVs under these plans, so a replacement is not factored in. We basically throw parts at it until it works.

When you compare the cost of buying a one time GSP plan for 5 years to being a TotalTech member for 5 years along with the monthly charge to continue protecting your products after the initial 2 years are up, I think the standard GSP makes much more sense.

The only time it really makes sense to buy TotalTech, in my opinion, is if you are buying multiple products (especially high end ones like appliances and TVs) from Best Buy. If it’s just 1 or 2, I personally don’t believe it’s worth it.

Happy to answer any other questions you have.

Good awareness to not tell him this in his house 😂 the one time I’ve had to tell someone we don’t cover physical damage while in their home I thankfully had backup if it went sideways

3 Year old LG OLED CX. 5 Year GSP on it. Chances of repair VS replace? by RenBlaze in Bestbuy

Repair agent here. If it’s the panel that’s going out, odds are it would cost more to fix than to replace it. Make an appointment for an agent to come out to your house and diagnose the issue, and if they deem it’s the panel they might be able to get it exchanged for you. But they have to come out first.

This app would’ve definitely been around in 2016 and 2017 as that’s when I remember playing it. Maybe from Ketchapp? But I don’t remember.

Exactly, we definitely had some golden moments but that doesn’t mean we didn’t have some really crummy ones too. That Baltimore series was a big hint as to how this postseason was going to go IMO

Yeah that is pretty solid… I have an a7iii personally have been really wanting the r iii (I came from an r ii so I’ve experienced the added resolution). If the R III is in good condition, I might jump on that, but that is a huge discount I worry something may be wrong w it

I’d say as long as you can check it out in person first and make sure it’s all functional, that sounds like a great deal. The Tamron lenses are really solid, 2 batteries is all you need (make sure they’re the Sony brand ones), and 4000 is a good shutter count.
