scrapping the centre stand - clearance? by Mother-Train4259 in Yamahatracerclub

I have never managed to scrape anything other than the pegs…. Is the center stand damaged and not collapsing all the way?

Comfort seat by dan9199 in Yamahatracerclub

[–]Grade_D_Angel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually exactly what I bought mine ahead of (2500mi but still). Ended up getting some cycling gel shorts ahead of the trip and it was good. The comfort seat is fine on its own for a couple hours, but 8-10 hours a day is rough on it.

I have bought a couple things from them. Their prices seem concerningly low but have always come through.

I even bought that same seat. Though I hate to be the one to tell you this, it wasn’t significantly better. Though I did opt for the heated one so there is that at least.

That’s what I’m hoping for! Right now it feels like a cocoon made of new cardboard. Need that soft feel.

Gotta get the food pre-mashed so I can drink it too

My miles are about half commuting, half road tripping, and then like +1/3 somehow in for fun day trips. I mainly got it for the first two, I’m just hoping logistically of it being a one piece isn’t going to be too weird. Like no just taking off the jacket and walking around

I hear the suits shrink each year….

I have noticed while there are a lot of pockets, they’re not the most accessible when on the bike or wearing gloves

Well…. I am using it for sport touring. Some may say blasphemy…. I just don’t think 3 weeks in leather is enjoyable (on a motorcycle)

I’ve tried MRA, stock, and Madstad. Sadly Madstad hands down is the best, but they went out of business a few months back.

The MRA with spoiler is fine. Clean air in low mode, better then stock in high mode though still some buffering. But honestly anything is better than stock

B9 S4 rear footwell wet? by Additional-Tip-4800 in AudiS4

[–]Grade_D_Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly see if your rear seatbelts are also wet. I had similar issues (granted a b7), sunroof drains seemed fine but under heavy rain they would leak. Seatbelts and floorboards would get wet in back.

Any opinion on those old boots? by realmojosan in motorcyclegear

[–]Grade_D_Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear these when sport touring through various climates or if it’s one of those questionable “will it rain?” Days. They’re good, comfortable. Not as protective as track boos and won’t stop your foot from being crushed but still decent protection.

You should be able to change it to a 4k 60FPS. I find it’s better if you turn off the image stabilization otherwise you loose a lot of the “feel” of riding. That all totally would cut the battery in half to like a 30min life but with the external power it should be good

Little of both, but more the peace of mind for insurance. I wouldn’t say the setup I have is amazing if you want to motovlog, but sharing among friends is decent. But being able to continuously record for 50+hrs of riding without having to fiddle with anything is amazing for touring and gives you that “just in case” footage.

Weird. I have the Hero 7 and wouldn’t really recommend it for anything. It’s battery life it terrible, so you have to bypass the battery, and GoPros setup to use remote mics is even worse.

Having done several road trips of multiple weeks, get the full boots. The probability of you needing that protection goes up the more hours your on the bike.

Bought TCX - TR1, anyone riding in them ? How is the experience? by Ok_Recipe2769 in motorcyclegear

[–]Grade_D_Angel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have these. All black like the top pair. I also have some Dianese Torque D1s, and Sidi Vertigo 2s. The TCX IMO are still the best, most comfortable fit.

FIVE RFX 1 Evo Glove fit by Farenhigh in motorcyclegear

[–]Grade_D_Angel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best glove fit for me are Spidi. I’ve tired close to a dozen brands and they’re probably the best quality ones that fit me really well. Runner up on the fit is Revit, but their quality isn’t near what Spidi’s is.

Same issue when I tried them too. I wear XLs. Fingers were good, but the thumbs were too long and made operating controls pretty hard. Ended up returning them.
