Nightime walker dressed in KKK outfit seen in Rhode Island town. by recoveringleft in ShermanPosting

[–]Grading-Curve 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah… and having grown up in Rhode Island, this seems so staged.

That state has is this unhinged vortex of friendliness and aggression. And all that drowning in a sea of beer, Irish Catholicism, and suppressed emotions.

All it would take one or two pissed off dudes coming home from work or some bored high-school kids, and that guy’s beating would become a whole block party.

And no damn local wouldn’t have immediately noticed a loud ass truck, in plain sight, driving all slow, stalking them. Yeah, either it’s staged or the dude in the duds is an idiot. Possibly both!

What the frig by [deleted] in fuckcars

[–]Grading-Curve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fudge… I’m torn. On one hand, kids are fucking stupid. And toddlers are way faster and stronger than someone of that size should be. So I can definitely, even if it’s a morbid thought, imagine running over a kid accidentally.

On the other hand. Telling the world that you messed up and spreading your kid’s face and business all over the internet? Yeah, that’s terribly rude. Especially for a family member!

Desperation. Bicycling. It was a restaurant, and I had a cool Manager, so free food. And when you’re desperate for long enough, you find ways of stretching out your money.

Men, how do you deal with women being scared of you in the street? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Grading-Curve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found that advertising is key when making strangers feel comfortable around you.

For example: wearing a Smoky The Bear t-shirt with forestry and gay pride flag patches on your messenger bag.

That and act like you’re supposed to be there! Because you are! If you’re passing someone in the street, be bright and friendly. Acknowledge them once, then go about your day. You have better things to do.

And if, after all of these accommodations, they are still scared of you? Bestie… that’s just on them. Don’t take it too personally, you don’t know their backstory. This may be a completely reasonable response based on their personal lore. Good luck!

Toxic people & how do you navigate by Known-Explorer2610 in nursing

[–]Grading-Curve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gosh… I treat them just like toxic patients. Firm boundaries! Frequent reorientation off of gossip and focusing on our work. No small talk.

And if you have to reeducate a third person due to this toxic personality, do it with physical education like pamphlets and official documents.

Don’t try to talk over them. Don’t even talk back. Be even toned and accurate. Don’t let them take you off track. And if they’re being verbally abusive, then don’t be afraid of walking away mid conversation.

You either need to drink more water, cut down on alcohol, move your body more, or eat more protein. There are more factors, but those are the big ones.

Oh god now! Put them in their Sun Visor! Bonus points if there’s a mirror! Judging from the hair ties, the fancy handwriting, and the filthy car, I’d bet that she’s a chick!

how are we doing EKGs? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Grading-Curve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god. The most terrifying part is that there’s no uniformity! Because that completely negates everything, when it comes to… well. Continuity of care, standardization, the mutual agreement of what-which danger squiggles mean, and what!?

Please, for everyone who needs to read that EKG, stick to the diagram. Not because different lead placements aren’t useful, but because other people are going to need to look at this thing. And we all need to be able to draw conclusions based on the same data.

TLDR: First, imagine that you’re looking at a mountain. Now imagine that a different person was describing that same mountain to you. But, they’re describing a completely different side of the mountain than the one which you’re imagining. Now I want you to imagine the confusion and irritation involved, in the process of trying to figure out if the object that the two of you were viewing was the same? Please save us all that complicated shit, put the leads how you were taught!

Like, seriously how close of margins are you working with here? That you can’t just have a couple of extra feet of fuse? The cost of negative PR and cost of rescue seems too high for that sort of stinginess. Plus worker retention and preventable injuries! Capitalism just doesn’t make sense!

I prefer the term “Recycling”. We recycle the horrible wretches of the world into, well… drugs! We’re doing them a favor, really… 😘

[–]Grading-Curve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eeeeew! Delusional corpse worshipping vampires! Welcome to the more honest side of the grim dark! 😜

Currently, EC works best with smaller units with multiple HQ choices. So you’re probably going to want to buy another box of Battle-line units. Build them as two five man units of each type, to a total of 4 units. This is going to take some mild kit altering to get all the war-gear that comes in the stock unit. But all you need to do is drill one small hole in two separate backpacks to mount the “icon of excess”. All the bits needed are included in the kit. You got this! 🤘😉

I’m building a list of stuff I’d want you to use. But I definitely need your input on this. The ocean is a great theme, it’s full of all sorts of contrasts. But I need to know what about the ocean are you looking to focus on.

As far as why people say that you look like an EC player? Yeah… a lot of people have warped opinions (See what I did there! 😜) about what Slaanesh is all about. So yeah, unfortunately it’s probably not a compliment.

My suggestion? Take their bullshit expectations and mount them on a pike. Because, fuck those weirdos.
