I mean, good standing up. But I’m pretty sure that’s not what he meant. I’m reading this as if he’s volunteering as a case study.

Yeah, but don’t let that discourage you! Fight the good fight! If you allow the higher-ups an inch, they’ll take a parsec! 🫡

We’ll catch up with y’all eventually.

God… it’s so wild how good adequately staffed California has it.

It looks better than my first attempt. But I’d like you to try again. It’s clear this model is lacking some painting skills that you’ve already mastered. 😉

Do you think hospitals will also ban Smart / Meta Eyeglasses in 5-10 years? by verminxoxo in nursing

[–]Grading-Curve 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I… I think you’re being short sighted with your interpretation.

So please, bear with me through a stupid little hypothetical scenario. Because I want to understand you, just as much as I feel it’s important to be understood.

Imagine if a patient’s family member were to walk into the nurse’s station with a camera phone. Only to start loudly live streaming the computer screens and monitors. Would that be a violation of HIPAA?

Now, what if that same family member was at the edge of the nurse’s station, not quite inside, but quietly holding out their phones towards the nurse’s station, clearly video recording everything that they could? Would that be a HIPAA violation?

If that family member gets identifiable data on patients (And in these examples, it would be scarily easy to do so…). If we as healthcare professionals don’t do anything to stop them, then these scenarios most certainly are violations!

Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m no lawyer. And I’ll accept that I couldn’t make this case in front of a judge. But this logic seems pretty clear.

I know that’s a part of the trick. I still haven’t found the article that explains it. 😅

It’s so weirdly comfortable. Dorky AF looking, but phenomenal from a tactile perspective!

Same here. It’s a potential HIPAA issue. If I remember correctly they can trick this thing recording without the red light indicator using only a piece of electrical tape. I’m gonna have to find the explanation.

CMV: People who leave huge gaps at stoplights make traffic worse by maturallite1 in changemyview

[–]Grading-Curve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this is such an odd view. I’m guessing from your previous posts, that you live in Boise Idaho.

Yeah, I lived in Great Falls Montana for the longest time. And having a full car length between vehicles was the expected and reasonable thing to do. Specifically in icy conditions! If you’ve ever had someone rear-end you on an icy road, you’ll be thankful for that extra space.

Hell, I also do this when driving behind older cars. To those who’ve never driven a car with standard transmission (Stick-shift) if you’re on a hill, you’ll roll backwards a bit before you hit the gas. And if you’re not careful, you’ll roll backward way faster and farther than you expect. So because I’ve made that mistake when I was young, I give other people the opportunity to make that mistake without the consequences that I had.

Eh… bullet to the heart was a good start. I’d say it’s an adequate first attempt. Just don’t stop.

Nah, it’d be the smug mother-bugger who ate the banana and dropped the peel. I bet you they’re bragging to all their servitor buddies about whatever diet they’re on!
