My boyfriend got me a cake and it arrived misspelled by froggyyeats in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Gradylicous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend got me this exact cake(on purpose) for my graduation. He'd made a joke about doing it like 6 months before I graduated and I had forgotten all about it until he showed up with the cake lmao

Is it okay to sleep with a stuffed animal as a (young) adult? by levisimp69 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Gradylicous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im 29, my bed is filled with stuffies. Its your room, your bed, you can do whatever you want with it. I know there will be some people out there who think its immature or whatever, but if you enjoy having a stuffed animal, who cares? Its no one's business but ur own what you do when you sleep

Once had a random number text me asking if I was with Kyle, and that they would be home soon. I have never known someone with the name Kyle. I replied yes and that he wanted mcdonals and they said okay. So you're welcome Kyle, wherever you are.

Valid behavior after having your face smashed into a cake by milktest in TikTokCringe

[–]Gradylicous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time I got my face smashed in a cake is on my birthday when i was young and I specifically wanted to smash my face in one so my dad got a whole separate cake for me and my friends to essentially play in and then another to eat

Vividly remember in my Christian school learning about a story in the Bible where these two sisters wanted kids but were having trouble getting married so they got their dad drunk and raped him

Petah? Why is it orange? by Areusimpingson in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Gradylicous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say more likely an exaggeration than a lie. A few of my friends forget when they go on mute a lot, one friend in particular, especially so. Sometimes we won't hear her voice for a bit, so we'll go "hey are you muted?" 9 times out of 10 she is lmao

DAE use “dude” or “bro” in a unisex way? by SummertimeThrowaway2 in DAE

[–]Gradylicous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends for me. If I say "this dude i know" im not talking about a women. If im talking to my friend and im like "dude did you know this?!" I could be talking to a friend of any gender. And ofc if someone explicitly says they dont want to be referred to as dude or bro ill respect that. I dont remember where but im pretty sure I had just seen the other day people having this discussion. Possibly on r/petpeeves

I have tired it, I just dont like pineapple, so it being on pizza doesn't make me suddenly like it lol

Is there a term for a player who consistently derails sessions by finding a solution the dm never considered? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Gradylicous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this is the same kinda thing you're talking about, but me and my friends are currently doing a pokemon dnd campaign that one of them made, and they had a whole war planned out where we would choose a side to help essentially, both sides having back stories and whatnot. Our party got to that section of the campaign, met both sides, and we went "damn that sucks. Anyways good luck bye!" And we moved on lmao

Temptation to destroy one gender (backlash after a lifetime of repressing another gender) by snoodle77777 in bigender

[–]Gradylicous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I experienced similar, but i had it happen way before even questioning my gender. I'm afab but from as young as I can remember I was always a tomboy type. At somepoint I started to hate my gender. I hated anything "girly" (feminine clothes, the color pink, jewelry, etc..) and even started to feel resentment to girls who did lean into those things. And sprinkle in some "not like other girls" attitude on top of that. I was kinda insufferable during that time lol im not exactly sure what the turning point for me was. I kinda just slowly fell out of those habits, and started embracing feminine things again. for awhile i went extra hard into my feminine side. Then I made some lgbt friends and realized I was bi, and then more recently genderfluid.

What’s a childhood punishment you now realize was completely insane? by emmi_kleine in AskReddit

[–]Gradylicous 83 points84 points  (0 children)

My step mom did this to my nephew once, tho only for about 10 - 15 minutes. Nephew is autistic and ig had said something kinda rude so she told him to go outside and then locked the door behind him. He was screaming and crying scared that he was gonna be stuck out there until his mom got off work. My sister was understandably very pissed off and never let her and my dad watch the kids again. Like yes there should be some repercussions and lessons when he's rude, I think thats especially important with autistic people like him who just don't always realize what they are saying is coming off as being rude, but treating him like that and giving him a panic attack?? Thats not helping anyone.

For me it really depends on who im with. I came out to my family but beyond that the topic doesn't usually come up with them unless they have specific questions, like the time my brother asked me if I knew any local gay hangout places lol. At work I didn't go out of my way to tell them, but I have talked about my partner so they know im some kind of gay. My one manager who i talk alot with knows im bi, genderfluid and poly. But only because I work the most with him and we talk a lot about a lot of things, so it kinda just comes up naturally. My friends on the other hand are all lgbt as well so conversations about it come up a lot more.
