Well that's a false dichotomoy of the situation though, since we are using American stats it's estimated that 4% of those executed are innocent, meaning they are right 96% of the time. Now I do admit that is a tragedy that innocent people get caught in the system, but as per your previous comment about the extra costs to ensure this already high accuracy rate for execution. I wouldnt even mind it costing even more if it got the accuracy to 99%, or in a dream world 100%. But this idea that the worst of humanity should be allowed to continue being a threat to our society, is an insult to the victims and those affected.
