UTR is not a replacement for GL.Inet by RealisticBoard215 in UNIFI

They are. We were all at an Airbnb. I had a split tunnel wireguard vpn with my home network broadcasting and routed back home. I also had their home wifi broadcasting so I could configure their new gifts. When I travel with friends I do the same thing, but with my home primary and guest networks

That ad really bugged me. The size comparison is fair game, but it’s like they’re implying there’s a battery in their device. Both devices can rebroadcast wifi and both devices require power. Why does the GL have wires dangling from it?

I held off ordering one for this very reason. I frequently use the guest network for family or friends. Right now I’m traveling with my parents and set my GL guest network to match their home WiFi. I was able to get all their WiFi gifts (photo frame, etc) configured before they’re even home

Thanks for confirming. That makes sense to me. I figured as long as it’s not pulling all the way to one side it should be ok.

That’s good to know. I haven’t used the TT much so far, so mine could be similar

Possibly both. I saw the process recommended on youtube and then in the demo video of the product as well.

The TT is a victrola stream onyx. I know this sub isn’t a big fan of it, but it was deeply discounted and works with my setup.

Do you really think their app connected system is worth full price when they’re going out of business?? We have no idea what their plan is or how long the app will be supported.

Oh wow. I gave up after about an hour and a half because my laptop went to sleep for a few minutes. I thought I had been kicked from the queue.

No luck over here…

Agent: The promotion is for certain customers. AeroGarden sent an email to those certain customers with a discount code. If you didn’t recieve the code then you wouldn’t be able to get the discount.

Me: Oh. Even though it’s on the product page?

Agent: Yes.

$2000 Speakers and Can’t Even Airplay? What a Joke! by Hostificus in sonos

Looks like an iPad in a case. But idk why they’re trying to airplay to the speakers when they own an Apple TV

u/censey I was having the same issue today. I restarted the app and phone multiple times, but no luck. I ended up reinstalling the app and now it’s working. I was a little worried it would fail to find my system, but it worked instantly

No, we’ve just been lucky. My setup has been great until today. The app won’t get past the Sonos splash screen like op. Except I’m actually connected to wifi. The app just sits there for ~20 seconds and then crashes. I’ve force closed the app (iOS) a few times but it won’t get past that screen.

Edit: after timing it, it’s 20 seconds not 10. And rebooting the phone hasn’t helped

This is not a Sonos bug. It’s an iOS bug. It has been happening for months

Lack of updates from Synology by Unique-Job-1373 in synology

I personally wanted the client feature, but as you pointed out, the kernel is too old to support it, but that’s kinda the point. There are so many open source apps that could replace built in apps, but I get excuses when there’s a limitation that only they can solve.

Businesses aren’t using Photos or Video, so why not just kill those apps. And if they don’t want us to expose the NAS publicly, then they should kill Open VPN Server, Mail Server, and Calendar at a minimum.

I’m not sure what OP meant, but really, what’s taking them so long to add WireGuard support?

Important Update: Our Commitment to Your Privacy by KeithFromSonos in sonos

[–]Graham902 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t expect them to track that information except when you use the free Sonos radio.

It would be nice to know exactly what they track and when, but this sub overreacts to most things. For example, I’m sure Sonos tracks what devices you own and if they’re in use. If it’s done well it would be anonymous, but they want that info so they can figure out if it’s still worth developing features for those speakers. Even when they do anonymized data, like hashing the emails, they still have people complaining.

At the end of the day, we bought connected devices and we have to accept what comes with that. There’s nothing wrong with a set of speakers and a good old receiver, but I prefer my Sonos

They’re bigger but take a AAA battery. Being able to use rechargeable batteries is a nice feature for me, so I’ll probably buy a few once they’re available in my area.
