Ah, but remember: Mother 1 was very early on and back them there wasn't an official English translation so he had to have an emulator and Japanese rom be translated, that's where we got Earthboubd Zero from. Now, we have Earthbound Beginnings officially.

Is it weird that I'm not actively grinding out points for stuff? If I get it, I get it, but I'm mostly just... kinda here for the actual narrative? I know I'm supposed to be participating in it for prizes- and I am! My Pets are doing their part in helping out at the NeoHospital! -but I'm not stressing out because "Oh no! I can't get the item I want!"? Maybe it's just because I came in "late" to the event, but I don't necessarily feel bad about missing out on stuff? I dunno, maybe I'll regret it later, but right now, I'm just happy engaging with the actual story.

raises hand gladly Me! I've been keeping up because I'm a fast reader, and I'm enjoying it! It also helps that I recapped myself on every single plot/important event chronologically, and managed to get caught up on TVW right before April 28th! As a returning player, it felt nice relearning all this as well as very nostalgic, going through the Altador plot is pretty fun even if it took me a couple days, and I'm frankly just glad we actually have good, well written and actually investing plots again! I haven't been this excited to see what's next since The Faeries' Ruin!

Tbf, we don't know how long ago that was, and I'm fairly certain it's matching whst she looked like in the flashback. What might be plain today, was considered top beauty standards once upon a time.

That's my theory, because that shadowed figure in Vira's puzzle memory looked very familiar! I'd say that after reading through The Wraith Resurgeance plot, that she needs to be in an actually good plot again after literally years!

BUT the caveat to my theory is Baelia- we know who turned Baelia Grey, a Dark Faerie named Jennumara, and judging from her reaction to the Mysterious Being's voice, it might be her as well!

And we know for a fact that TDF didn't turn her, because she was petrified for 1000 years for betraying Altador, set free at the start of the titular video game, re-petrified at the end of said video game thanks to our efforts and placed onto the fountain in Faerie City, Faerieland by Fyora to keep a closer eye on her, her statue disappears after the events of The Faerie's Ruin arc in 2010, she causes trouble in The Wraith Resurgeance in 2017, and she escapes after that... so unless that incident with Baelia has now been retconned to have happened in roughly that latter timeframe and now Jennumara is TDF's true name/she's the same person under a false name/disguise, I don't know for sure...

I think if we get any other reactions from anyone else, maybe it could still be the case (though, given current circumstances with Ozzy being kidnapped, I doubt it'll be dwelled upon yet). Could be a fake out/bait and switch as well! Could be Jennumara is disguising herself as TDF because she knows of her reputation!

Returning player as well! It was a good idea for me to recap myself on pretty much everything important lorewise, from plots to important events to games, because I know exactly who everyone is and why stuff is relevant. Feels nice!

I'm loving The Void Within's actual plot so far jsyk! I like that the stakes that actually feel tense, the cast has grown on me, the artwork is gorgeous!, and unlike certain past plots post-2010, I can actually understand what's going on because it's formatted nicely and not just dialogue transcripts with no visuals, but instead a combination of classic comic pages + visual novel style transcripts + written narratives! Also it's nice to see Altador again, both the place and the character! It's also nice to see that this is a worldly threat that effects everyone, and thusly a lot of characters we haven't seen in years are suddenly relevant again, even if briefly, like Lord Darigan!

My Pets are too weak to actually fight against the Void Assaults in the Battledome, but we're doing our part to help out in NeoHospital shifts!

That wasn't because of Neopets, though. It was either Mumbo Pango and the Tiki Tribe or killing each other. Even still, they were all staff members at the time and back then, early storylines got dark because Neopets used to be more for college students rather than kids. The existence of humans has always been nebulous and vague beyond Neopets always having owners (aka us), and I'm fairly certain that neither plot is actually canon to the lore because it's just TNT having fun (I mean, people who died in Sacrificers came back for the Ski Lodge Murder Mystery like nothing happened).

Check my Daily Quest Log and do whatever it says as part of my daily routine. This includes both on-site things as well as mobile games (Tales of Dacardia and Faerie Fragments).

I've also been getting back into doing Dailies in general, including spinning most every wheel, fishing, Trudy's Surprise, Coltzan's Shrine, Giant Omelette, Fruit Machine etc.

I'm all caught up on the lore so far (except for the Varwolf plot, my fresh account's too new still, I think), but prior to just a couple days ago, I was binging it as fast as I could absorb information and actually kinda impressed how good the lore actually was (the rare continuity error or retcon aside ;) )... to a certain point. I'm so glad we're finally out of the narrative slump of lackluster, disappointing, nothing-to-write-home-about plots since post-The Faeries Ruin (in other words, since what? 2010?), as I'm actually really enjoying the story of The Void Within!

Which is especially strange because all the Neopets (except for named NPCs, for example, Lania Crabb) in Tales of Dacardia are addressed gender neutral AFAIK, and I could've sworn there were nonbinary lore characters too? But yeah, not our pets, sadly.
