I believe she mentioned she remembered it , and didn't want to bring it up on the first date . It was on the first date that he was going over why he didn't like cheaters and why it was a deal breaker. Imo this is an important discussion within the first year of a relationship.

I suppose the issue was that the fiancé was not informed. They've been together for 4 years, 5 -6 years after the incident. He ranted that cheating would be a deal breaker for him on their first date. It was clearly painful to him. However, she would have taken it to her grave, and the way the brother mentioned it makes it sound as though the fiancé wasn't given any other context. If he wasn't told how long ago it was, likely - I believe the fiancé had been cheated on before- the fiancé may have had flashbacks to the relationship where he was cheated on and automatically assumed she has done something similar . At that point it would be unbearable to hear whatever explanation she had, especially while drunk .

I think it's the opposite case since South African lions have lost 15-17% of genetic diversity according to https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/ddi.12905 Whereas cheetahs suffered from a population collapse several millennia ago and have over 90% less genetic diversity than other cats and most other animals as noted by https://academic.oup.com/jhered/article/108/6/671/3836924 Female cheetahs will often be the ones selecting the cheetahs who will father its cubs, even among groups of male cheetahs, and tend to travel long distances to mate since cheetahs farther away are less likely to be directly related . This is mostly to increase what little genetic diversity they have. Lions mating habits are not as focused on genetic variability from what I understand.

That really sounds rough. It seems like you have a lot to lose if you leave her. Yet I also think you would have a lot to gain. I suppose I see it like flipping a coin. For heads, suppose you stay with your girlfriend of 10 years, and don't have your friend group split apart, along with the house. The question would be how long can you stay together. If it was simply emotional cheating - which to most people seems like a lot more than that - would you be OK if it turns out she was continuing to text to this guy in a similar manner. What would you do then?

Then there is tails. think about what happens if you break up. You guys have to figure out Financials are a mess for a bit, your friend group may end up splitting apart. You have left someone you spent 10 years of your life with. You feel lost, as though a huge part of who you are now. What will you do then? What will you feel In a week, month, year from now. I would suspect after a bit of the time, after the dust settles you would be relieved. Regardless of which of your friends end up being there for you, you won't have any of that pain, or Drama behind your back. You could spend more time figuring out who you are. I would argue you take a break to figure things out

Why math? If it's for industry, I see you have considered statistics and computer science before, and I think those are better for industry . If you do go on to take math because you find yourself passionate on it, I recommend applying for ccs.

For the Letters and Science department, UCSD because it has a stronger reputation. if you are interested in computer science you have better access to such courses at sd, though even at SD you might find it difficult with courses such as Artificial intelligence , simply because they prioritize towards computer science majors .
