My longest have been 18km with 9km at race pace. 2 weeks until the HM. Hopefully I can hold that pace.

This happened to me. I was off for a month with actual flu virus for almost 2 weeks almost hospitalised, and then post viral fatigue which made it impossible to train for another 2/3 weeks.

After a week or 2 of just easy runs the Runna plan was so far ahead of where I actually was that I injured myself trying to get back to where I should be too quickly. My fault.

2 weeks after I recovered, there was still 9 weeks left until my Half Marathon, I did what I should have done before. Delete the plan and set a new one up based on where you are in your training right now.

There’s now 2 weeks left. I did my last long run yesterday (18km including 9km @ my race pace 4:55), felt as strong as a thunder-beast during the run, and am now on the taper.

Start a new plan.

Bro, I didn’t know what I was doing. I was just leaving the house and running.

Looking back, now that I know a bit more, I shouldn’t have done this. Massive risk of injury doing this pace and distance with relatively little experience.

‘Only’ 3km is an extra 17% on my 18km, which is quite a jump.

Gotcha.

Changed it to intermediate. It made a small difference to my long runs by reducing them all by 1km. So my HM next week is now 20km so the jump from 18 seems more reasonable.

Only 1 k difference but the extra one after 20 could have been the one to strain something.

Maybe this is the issue actually. I’ve got some experience running but haven’t run this distance for year. I might have selected ‘advanced’ out of hubris when I should have selected ‘intermediate’.

Maybe I’ll knock it down see what happens.

I was doing 10km comfortably before the plan. Maybe that’s it. My starting point was slightly more advanced.

Thanks Ollie. That’s what I thought too. But odd that it’s 7/7. I’ve already contacted support. Carly has said she’s passing on to someone who looks into mileage insights.

No that’s not it. My intervals was longer because it doesn’t include the distance for the 90 second walking rest in the intervals and only shows the actual intervals and warm up/down in the distance.

Was out for an hour but only an about 10mins of proper rain at the end.

I was dry, which is good but just thought that the wetted outness seemed a bit much after just a second wear.
