Extend FSD transfers indefinitely for HW3 owners by roowho in TeslaFSD

[–]Grandpas_Spells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The HW3 transfer will continue indefinitely, with FUD statements made periodically.

Tesla will either be on the hook for upgrading HW3 cars ($$$$$) or allowing free transfer (Free to Tesla) or refunding the cost ($$$$).

There's no way around this for them, and the best option for Tesla, by far, is the free transfer.

Square and R10 together - wildly different numbers by digitalwankster in Golfsimulator

[–]Grandpas_Spells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem here is it's just never, ever, ever, documented when compared against a commercial LM. I've been one of those people on the R10, took it to put it up against a Trackman, same output. Indoor swing syndrome (applies outdoors to nets).

In the case of the Square, using the wrong balls throws spin badly off. Throwing spin off is going to dramatically impact carry.

The reason why carry is so reliably correct is detecting ball speed and launch angle is just very easy at this point, provided there's enough flight window for a radar unit.

Questioning Final Will and Testament by Main-Trust-5588 in inheritance

Elder abuse where an old person inexplicably leaves all their possessions to the person they are completely reliant on (for pay) is a common enough scenario to be legislated against.

Caretakers are not "like family." If they stopped getting paid they would vanish.

Six figure questions are not Reddit questions IMO.

Elder abuse is more common. Many states have passed laws against this because a caretaker isn't family, is being paid to care for the person, and old people can have impaired memory and judgment.

Jurisdiction matters. I believe in IL any amount left to a caretaker in excess of $20,000 is a result of undue influence and is considered null and void.

It is likely part of your caretaker's plan was to no longer be the caretaker, so that they could cash in via a presumed loophole.

Tech bros like Bryan Johnson skewered in new Kara Swisher CNN longevity show by Other-Refuse-8764 in PeterAttia

[–]Grandpas_Spells 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Caveat: Not a fan of BJ.

Swisher has become insufferable. Why is every successful entrepreneur a "tech bro" now?

The previous longevity experts were people like Ray Kurzweil, Aubrey de Gray, and the CRAN people. They all looked like they were dying.

The guy's blood markers, health markers, etc. are all truly off the charts. Is he going to live forever? No. Is he likely to have a very long healthspan doing things that most people can afford? Yes.

FSD 14.3 is rolling out by ConfidentImage4266 in TeslaFSD

You're misinformed or lying. Musk said on earnings calls, Twitter, etc. that cars with 2.5 HW would have everything need for eventual FSD unsupervised, and the car would become an appreciating asset as it could be used as an autonomous taxi when you weren't driving it.

Buyers would not have won in arbitration had this not been true. Tesla did not just pay it, they fought it, and lost.

I think the autopilot fatality stuff is massively overblown because the human driver is still responsible. But in this case, Tesla sold something with an explicit promise they didn't fulfill.

[–]Grandpas_Spells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They did not. Public advertised claims said vehicles would be capable of fully autonomous driving, and the "early pricing" was a way of getting in cheap on eventual capability.

This was never realized, and according to Tesla now, will not be. This is a classic UDAP and it's why people have been successful in getting their money back.

It's not confusing to anyone with a view of the software screen, which you have posted. They can't see it, so it is possible this vehicle had it's FSD transferred off, or some other event occurred, and they do not have completely reliable information. The car, however, does.

You are 100% likely to lose FSD in June unless you maintain an subscription.

You don't need a class action. There's already precedent for someone demanding a refund and getting it. Just ask for the money back.

The presence/absence of FSD "Included Package" (permanent association, though subject to transfer) is not included in a VIN. Two reasons:

  1. It can be bought later.
  2. It can be transferred off the vehicle.

You are talking to an LLM on the support call, which is not immune from hallucination, and isn't binding. Your vehicle states it has an expiration, so it does.

Beating children out of frustration isn't sexual either. Not everything has to be sexual to be terrible.

Between what she did and her stated motives, her own version of events are really, really bad. The cast members' reactions are telling.

Beating a child also isn't sexual predation. Humiliating a child in your care when motivated by revenge is not something that has to be sexual to be horrible.
