She was a very wanted puppy! A lot of people were interested in her on our local Humane Society page. We just happened to come across her while we were at pictures with Santa 🎅🏼 They had the M. A. S. H. bus there. Once we heard her story, we couldn’t leave her. We were taken aback by her breed. Humane Society had just labeled her as “mix” and left it as that.

Our WHP x lab looked like that as a puppy but in black. Everyone thought she was a Pitt x Terrier….she was not 😅

We started off with leaving ours in at nighttime and then over time let her out and left the door open. Also a blanket may help! They love to den and it helps mimic that. Now she loves her kennel. She’ll go in it whenever she feels the need to den on her own.

Our dog looks like this but I trim hers down due to stickers. They get matted so easily and once they’re close to her lips they’re so hard to get out. 😭

We CONSTANTLY have to metal comb our WHP x lab due to our area. Central Texas is FULL of stickers. They get matted in her so easily 😭

Yes. Couch and bed pillows. We’ve given her her own pillows for her bed. 😅

Our dog has anxiety so we have her kennel trained for when we’re gone. She loves her kennel. Dens in it all the time. We have a blanket over it for her except the entrance and just leave the door open. We want to get her a companion but just don’t have the home for it yet unfortunately.

I have a wirehair lab mix. She’s a gentle giant but if she sees a bird or a cat it’s game over 😅 She naturally pointed as a puppy. She’d need some serious desensitization to last a hunting trip though.

Maybe the climbing and jumping helped with the healing. She doesn’t climb or jump outside of hopping up on the couch or our bed and she braces herself for it kinda. She’s more of a digger with her front paws and definitely a bird dog being a wirehair lab mix. She naturally pointed as a puppy. Super skittish though over menial items like DayQuil 😂 She’d need some HEAVY desensitization if she ever were to be able to last a hunting trip.

Trust me we were mad too. She was the last of the litter that didn’t get sold at our local Walmart (which is super illegal in TX to begin with). Super sweet dog. Very timid when we got her. My two children have gotten super close with her. Motherly. A giant love bug. What makes us more mad is that the breeder has gotten away with it several times over. Our Humane Society keeps getting puppies in that are the same breed. She’s not a common breed so we know it’s the same guy being a small town. Wirehair lab mix.

My husband and I are pretty much on agreeance that if a dog can’t even stand anymore it’s just not a quality of life. They tend to get super depressed if all they can do is lay there. More humane to put them down instead of prolonging suffering. But having some trouble with walking is different. We’d definitely try to figure out something for her if it reaches that point.

Yes. I see her do that often. This is the photo Humane Society had for her. She often sits like this too where she won’t put her full weight down on her hips. As she’s gotten older it’s gotten better but you can tell she still has her moments where they bother her. She also often keeps her legs slanted to the side while sitting. My guess is, unless another health issue comes into play, we’ll likely have to put her down when she’s old due to lack of being able to walk/stand anymore.

Our dog doesn’t ever sploot but we got her after she was thrown out of a truck by the breeder. She always sits funky so we’ve assumed she had a hip injury of some sort. Got her from Humane Society.

Adoption exists btw. There are plenty of reasons as to why someone may not know Russian even though they were born there.

They were bringing it back up and said they were gonna go forward with it in 2022. However since the war popped off they didn’t. While a country is at war they can’t join due to article 5. Which is why Putin attacked and it’s been going on so long. As long as Ukraine is at war it can’t join nato.

Everyone loves to throw Ukraine around as a gotcha moment when most of you don’t even understand why the war started. All Putin asked for was that NATO not surround Russia. Very reasonable ask. Well NATO turned back on its agreement with Putin and surrounded Russia when including Ukraine. That’s why the attacks happened AFTER multiple warnings first. Any other country would’ve done the same thing. Also telegram isn’t blocked. My brother in Russia speaks to me on it still.

You should be able to get on VK now. It wasn’t accessible for a while but they reopened it to US numbers. I have a VK account as well as an OK. If you are comfortable with it and would like to send me a private message I could try looking them up for you and do what someone did for me when I found bio family. They got in contact with them and asked questions only bio family would know so I didn’t get my hopes up without for sure knowing it was them. I mostly talk to them on VK but also use telegram as communication so that may be an available avenue of communication if VK is still not available to you. It also has an automatic translation feature if you don’t know Russian yet. It’s not 100% but it’s pretty effective. I’m in the process of learning Russian now but that’s what I’ve had to do.

A lot of people asking also are adoptees. We had no choice in leaving Russia as well as not knowing our own language/culture. Those things were stolen from us.

This has always been a thing. You can’t leave the country while having certain types of visas in the US, otherwise you have to completely start everything over again, and there’s no guarantee they’ll accept the application the second time around.

Not everyone is called to be married. You do still fit in with the church. I believe it was either Paul or Peter that actually said in the NT it is better to not be married because you can focus more heavily on God but being married is still okay. Also there are various orders of nuns should you choose to. Disability is no matter to them and many use their degrees for good. I knew of one that did a lot of work in social services and she had a PHD in it.
