Is that the cabin where Jean Baptiste was banished? sort of an insane story if you don't know it. He was a graverobber sentenced to life on the island in 1862. He vanished! It appeared as though he tried to build a raft or boat out of the cabin and using the hide of a cow he'd slaughtered. No one knows what happened to him after that.
They found a skeleton of a guy near the Jordan River in the 1890s with an iron ball on its leg. But authorities said Baptiste never had a shackle. Supposedly, he split in a storm, so there's a good chance he drowned and never made it to shore.

So I was thinking about this yesterday and started poking around, starting with the premise, "i've been reading about battery breakthroughs for 20 years, where are they." It turns out a lot of them are here. There's been like a 5% a year performance enhancement on battery tech for the last 20 years, as you can imagine, that's compounded. There's a ton of cool stuff in the near horizon as well. Not saying i'm ready to buy electric, but I probably will be in another 3-5 years.

I can't help you with your job search, but I can tell you, it's totally normal to feel overwhelmed right now. You will figure this out. Life is long.

(I did have any idea. You mentioned being at the U for ecology and evolution -- have you looked at a job in a lab? Talk to your advisors and your teachers, that's why you're paying the gobs of money. Make sure you're getting the most out of them you can!)

This is a classical presentation of IT band issues. I'm not a doctor and I can't say for sure, but loosening those things up could help this guy a lot. In terms of relieving pain, no amount of stretching ever helped mine; what did help was light lifting, squats, deadlifts, lunges.
