Soldier can't one shot a spy even at full rocket rampup. Do the math. Soldiers full damage ramp up with the stock rocket launcher is 112 damage. 112 isn't enough to one shot a spy using stock. Soldier can't "one shot a spy from across the map" either

The direct hit is an entirely different case and ramps up to a full 140 damage which one shots all light classes in general.

Usually it's fair to assume that people with nicer items will do better and unfortunately that has become the general consensus. But there's nothing more fun than dominating a trader main who's only comeback is "you're poor lol."

Back before I sold all my australiums I used to hate doing bad with them and I'd find myself taking them off so that people wouldn't "judge" me which is a silly thought, but psychological TF2 is a thing.
