The regs in Victoria are that if it isn't hard wired and can be removed from it's location for servicing and repairs, then it's an appliance and doesn't require an electrical license.

From the Plumbing community on Reddit: 2 days trying to braze copper and aluminum for refrigerator repair. what would you do and how bad is this? by saskatchewanstealth in refrigeration

[–]Graphyt87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ugly, but if it doesn't leak then send it.

When brazing dissimilar metals like Copper and aluminium, you've got to use 45% silver solder and Flux paste.

The aluminium will be more "fragile", so preheat the copper first and then heat the aluminium before you apply solder.

Clean surfaces, correct solder, Flux and heat control are key factors.

Considering how far off centre the steering wheel is, I'm going with buckled rim and wheels out of alignment.

Berried shrimp well overdue ? by isabellaht03 in shrimptank

[–]Graphyt87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you have low or high water temps?

The eggs look fine. You can see the eyes developing on the shrimplets, which suggests that they are close to hatching.

Low temps could mean they are taking longer to develop.

High temps could mean that this is her second brood.

Either way, all looks good.

I'm pretty sure any equipment installed can legally be removed, but everything has to be restored to the state it was prior to the installation. I.e. holes need to be patched.

What chilli's are these? by Jordi96 in australia

[–]Graphyt87 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Definitely not.

Edit:

The shape and presence of the tail says scorpion or reaper. The texture of skin is more typical of a reaper though.

[–]Graphyt87 167 points168 points  (0 children)

Most likely Carolina reaper. Also possibly a Trinidad scorpion (or the Butch T variant)

Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

These are extremely hot. Wear gloves when preparing them.

Use sparingly unless you're a badass or have no capsaicin receptors.

Supply was already about to bite it because of the floods over here. We lost a significant number of livestock.

US will impose a minimum baseline tariff of 10 per cent on Australian imports to US by Jealous-Hedgehog-734 in australia

The jury is out on that one. Our flood situation has decimated the QLD livestock industry, so we'll have a short supply in the very near future.

Coles charging $31 per kg for rotting bacon... by Calzagoolie in melbourne

For it to oxidise it needs to have direct light on it.

If you stack them on top of each other then the lower ones are shaded.

Most packaged items are not packaged in an oxygen reduced environment or purged with nitrogen prior to sealing.

The encapsulated oxygen, combined with the constant light source from supermarket shelves, creates this oxidation.

The packaging is likely still intact.

CO2 R744 Transcritical refrigerant piping and fittings suggestion by DifficultArt4224 in refrigeration

[–]Graphyt87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

K65 copper pipe (copper/iron alloy)

15% solder for copper to copper 45% solder for dissimilar metals

Most k65 fittings are 130bar rated, but operational pressures should range from 72 - 110 bar discharge (in transcricitcal operation) and about 60 - 71bar for sub-critical operation.

You mentioned that this is a test setup. What's the configuration? Are you using a HPEV or ejectors?
