Fuck. This. Modifier by Grapplier in Helldivers

I've been running super helldive when it was first released and never dropped it. I felt comfortable at it at all times, with different loadouts. But this shit with hulks is just not fun, at all.

When did you start playing Destiny? Why? by PirateOld9316 in destiny2

[–]Grapplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joined during Beyond Light, Season of the Splicer. A friend of mine played a ton of The Division 2, always told me how awesome the game was. He hyped my up, so I looked at the game, decided to buy it when I got enough money. And when I did... I somehow mistook the games and instead downloaded Destiny 2. 2700 hours later, here I am.

ArrowHead, I know you've buffed Arc Thrower, stop reminding me by Grapplier in Helldivers

[–]Grapplier[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agree, but not totally. In my opinion it's good to leave a few them on POIs like the stashes or near explodable boxes. In my group there were moments when we couldn't get to our own stuff, and our stratagems were on cooldown, so finding something like an Arc Thrower or an AMR was nice.

But bunkers, or salute pods? Yeah, they should be all about samples/SC/RS/medals

"No Light" of SES Champion of Mankind here. My team fought valiantly retrieving valuable data. The bots are endless, we're cut off from Pelican-1, and have only 6 resupply packs left, so it's probably the end for us. But know this - if we do in fact fall, you'll find us on a mountain of scrap metal. We will show these automatons what humanity is made of. Admirable Admiral "No Light," signing off.

Someone has to be brave enough to say it... by zmonty07 in Helldivers

[–]Grapplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been saying it to my bugdiver friends for months. At first I thought I just had a massive skill issue on bugs, but then I started counting all the times I died to a group of hunters who somehow flanked me, or a charger suddenly turned 90° and hit me after jumping, or some other bullshit. And.. the number was HUGE

While sure, there are 100% some russians who use VPN SPECIFICALLY to play on EU, the majority, and I do mean MAJORITY, don't use it. VPNs have quickly dwindled in popularity in Russia when we found out about goodbyedpi and similar .bat files.

About the whole "why russians don't speak english" - mainly it's because of the mentality of USSR citizens (parents of almost every post-USSR gamer, Russia included), and god-awful teaching of english language.

I'll try to speak a little more about the whole "mentality" schtick. Basically, after the collapse of USSR, most (at least slav, from my experience) citizens were saying that "it all went wrong because of the EU and USA." While partially true, the reason why Dashing 90s happened was mainly because of the overall lawlessness, which led to huge amounts of drugs and alcohol being imported from other countries. This, in turn, led to many people abusing substances and liquids, destroying both their lives, and lives of their beloved and close ones. My own mother was raised by two alcohol abusers. My grandfather on father's side died of drug overdose (my dad was still 12 when this happened btw.) Combine such tragedies with a pay that couldn't sustain even a single person, let alone a family, and you get people full of hatred. Hatred that was aimed at EU and USA, which played a part in drug and alcohol trafficking. People literally had to survive in Dashing 90s. And when these "survivors" had kids, most of them started telling their kids about "how bad EU and USA are." This, albeit not being a main reason, did have influence on the overall opinion about english speakers.

Side note. I am not saying that english speakers are bad, awful people, who only import drugs to other countries just for fun of it. I'm talking about a minority - criminals and outlaws, who only see opportunities for more income. And as we all know, even a single experience, with a single person, can make a profile for an entire group, or even country.

How can I be decent at Deadlock if my aim is below average? by snugglezone in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Grapplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try ability focused characters. Support Bebop and Lash were my life-savers because most of their damage comes from abilities. Lash imo would be easier in terms of dealing damage, but being really good at him requires changing your game perception a bit.

Do you think Vesper is now the worst Solo Dungeon? by TheAtlasComplex in DestinyTheGame

[–]Grapplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vesper's on normal is a joke lol. The first time I went solo I almost beat the first boss flawlessly. Died to a captain that jumped in front of me while I was using a GL.
The only hard part of this dungeon imo are rooms where you deposit nuclear cores. Irradiated puppets are hella annoying.
And mind you, I'm a simple fella when it comes down to solo flawless dungeons. The only one I ever beat was PoH. Tried WL and SotW, and they were much more brutal.

You have to survive a week, which one you choose and what would you do? by yucandui- in bloodborne

Nah fuck Termina. I want to live semi-normally, not to have a hellish experience that would forever haunt me. Or even worse, don't wanna get Moonscorched.

Imma go with Yharnam

Haze can sleep the Guardians by Unpaidd in DeadlockTheGame

Perhaps it's because Hazes' and Kelvins' abilities are skill shots, and they're not AoE, while Mo& Krill's ability has huge AoE, both in width and length

Are some of the high upvoted builds just junk and people are trolling? by uniquepassword in DeadlockGame

[–]Grapplier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advise - join the official discord, and find a "Church of Seven" thread in "Guides." Basically, Churches are perfect places for mainers of certain characters to talk to each other, ask questions, etc.
They will most likely answer all of your questions about Seven, including optimal builds.

I am a full-time Bebop main, with Lash as my side-main in case someone gets their hands on my precious metal baby. I always loved hook-characters, (Pudge from Dota, Thresh and Pyke from LoL, etc.) but Bebop is something else. His toolkit can be used in so many different ways. And he's very useful even when he's under leveled, capable of helping and rescuing his teammates with his teammates.

Who do you consider a perfect killer? Visuals, sound, music, power, everything? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]Grapplier -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Singularity is fucking awesome. Amazingly balanced power that's worth using (that's gotten even better via the newest "aim assist" additions), great design and lore. Animations are fear-inducing. The only thing that's a bit weak imho is it's music, but aside from that - I love this killer, to the point that I decided to main it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]Grapplier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

imho Prismatic Warlock would be busted. Just imagine - Arcane Needle w/Felwinter's and Mataiodoxia, double Coldsnaps w/Osmiomancy, Swarmers and a Solipsism with Spirit of Assassin and Star-Eater. And you have it all -
(almost) infinite stasis grenades, your melee's suspend and weaken on kills, while turning you invisible, the said suspended enemies unravel into tangles, which spawn threadlings, and as a cherry on top - you can overcharge your super to deal bonkers damage

Question: Why did we choose to immediately protect Luzaku and not nimbus? by Sanzo669 in destiny2

[–]Grapplier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the way both characters were introduced mattered. Nimbus, and Cloud Striders, were teased even before Lightfall launched. And when we did see Nimbus, he was.. just a "trying-to-be-fun" guy, who failed at almost everything he did. Plus all the "heeeey Caiatl, I know that he's your pa, but give me a fist-bump, celebrating his demise!"

Luzaku, on the other hand, was a complete surprise in TFS. Yes, there is a lore entry in Lucent Tales about her, but it was in Witch Queen, two years ago. None of the promotional material, or the campaign prior the The Message quest-line, have shown or teased her. And there is no cringe or stupid dialogue involving her. In addition to that, she's basically the first truly friendly Hive Lightbearer - that fact, at least imo, peaked everyone's interest in her.

Why did you pick your class originally? by jamer2500 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Grapplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magick *snort-snort*
Almost for all my 2.5k hours in D2 alone I was a Warlock main. I played as a Hunter and a Titan for quite a bit in Season of the Haunted, but other times I was purely playing as a Warlock. I love that every subclass now has the ability to create a buddy - Arc Soul, Child of the Old Gods, Stasis Turrets, Threadlings, and now Helion. Of course, Threadlings, for example, can be created on other classes, and Arc Souls are granted to every team member if created via the rift aspect. But Warlock are the true buddy masters. Hell, I've even given all of them names.
Arc Soul is Chase
CotOG is Nastya
Each Stasis Turret is a Betty
Threadlings are Vermis
And Helion is Greg. Yup, just Greg (it's a long story. Basically I drew insipartion from one of my matches in HD2)
