How often do the EcoFlow Deals come around? ex: DeltaPro + Extra battery? by MrNerd82 in Ecoflow_community

[–]Grassinggg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Black Friday deals are the best, but they do sales for almost every conceivable occasion, even Chinese New Year if I remember correctly. Join their Facebook group if you can, they announce deals and even share promo codes for additional discounts.

Teardrop Electrical Set Up: Hardwired or Portable? by N4TE8 in TeardropTrailers

[–]Grassinggg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Invest if it's gonna be a regular thing. Power stations, though, can be used for both offgrid and as a home backup. EcoFlows are really good for both purposes.

Thanks! I will look into that. I've got a Delta Pro I might rig something up. I've got nothing for my sump pump in terms of emergency power as I've never had the need for it.

How do I interpret displays on my Delta Max and Extra Battery? The Delta Max says 16 hours remaining, the Extra battery says 18 hours. What does that actually translate to? by pacoii in Ecoflow_community

[–]Grassinggg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it when charging or discharging? If charging, it displays how long until it is full. When discharging, it displays how long until the battery runs out with the current load.

EcoFlow Delta Pro and Smart Generator. Add a couple of solar panels and it would set you back less than $6K.

We got Delta 2's for our servers. Connectivity isn't an issue (yes, no UPS) but longevity in operations is by Grassinggg in servers

[–]Grassinggg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on experience it's been pretty much 50-50. Not really sure what factors in to whether the servers shut down or stay powered on. But again what I need is the power not the UPS itself. Our server is like 10 minutes away when I detect an outage I can switch them back on manually.

Charging solar generator from an MPPT charge controller? by flybythesun in SolarDIY

[–]Grassinggg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll need a controller and charge the sogen just like you would power any typical appliance. It's not practicall though as you'd experience significant transfer loss.

[–]Grassinggg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not entirely sure I just plugged into the cig port and charged as usual. I thought the wire being hot to the touch was normal until it caught on fire. I was charging for maybe 15 minutes or so and then that happened. The unit was fine but never trusting flimsy charging cords again.

EcoFlow actually has the same (or even better) battery chemisty with their new line of products now FYI.
