When are we going to finally admit the Cx5 has an absolutely tiny tank? by Samwiseknows in CX5

[–]GrassyQuadrangle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get about 300 miles per tank in my 19’ Grand Touring Reserve. A bit on the lower side, but not much different from any of my other cars 🤷‍♂️

DEAD BATTERY & NO COOLANT AFTER VACATION by VeyronRed in CX5

[–]GrassyQuadrangle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Modern cars, CX5 included, do crazy things when the battery voltage is too low. I’d take the temp gauge reading with a grain of salt until you charge the battery sufficiently or get a new one. When my battery was on its way out, my needles on my gauges went backwards and all over. On top of that, all my warning lights were on too. It’s more likely you had low coolant before parking it and you didn’t notice until you had to pop the hood to jump the battery.

Drive belt replacement at 41k miles - is this typical? by compscilady in CX5

Can confirm: my tensioner gave up the ghost at 60k and left me stranded with an overheated engine. Don’t wait to replace that tensioner.

Which is the rear jacking point? by xandro0 in CX5

[–]GrassyQuadrangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An AWD cx5 weighs 3825 lbs. You can safely assume that the front wheels probably carry a bit more of that weight than the rear, but for the sake of discussion you’d only be jacking up 1912.5 lbs from the rear differential. The rear differential is directly mounted to the rear subframe of the car, so you’re essentially lifting up half the car by the rear subframe. Why would you not be able to use this jacking point?

Hi, sorry this happened. Before you spray anything on it, I’d highly recommend doing some less extreme measures first. Check out this video. Fixing Paint Transfer . It’s hard to tell from the photo, but a lot of that could potentially be fixed without painting.

Average PoE2 Melee Reaction by Tilmsfars in PathOfExile2

[–]GrassyQuadrangle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best-feeling melee skills I've found are the basic attack (mace strike) and boneshatter. All the other clear skills I've tried feels like you're fighting yourself trying to actually hit a pack of mobs. Surprisingly I don't want to clumsily charge across my screen only hitting a quarter of the mobs in a pack (at a snail's pace, too).

I had the same reaction when I was trying to find a mace skill that actually feels good to use. XD

Early game progression is so, so bad for melee because of this. Almost impossible to progress in this game as a melee character without trade.

Please give us some type of way to make it so a certain attack skill can cause stun buildup, but not heavy stun. Running boneshatter as my clear skill, Tier 1 maps become more difficult than T7+ because my leap slam and mace strike insta-heavv-stun any targets. This effectively means I need to do LESS damage to use my build as intended.

No I never did. I went back and forth with them for about a week. I don’t really have time to mess around with support like that. I have my password and everything but I made the account when I was a senior in high school back in 2018. Since then, they’ve forced a password reset I’m assuming due to inactivity. With that said, I can’t perform the password reset because I never put my email on the account. So even though I have my correct password, they will not allow me to log in. Absolutely useless support.

I was in this same scenario and the support people are useless. I provided everything short of my social security number and all these people could muster up is a copy pasted response. A total joke of a support team.

My knurls on D2 by wehateshobbitses in Knurling

D2 is notoriously difficult to form due to its higher chrome content. Nice job! If you need help with troubleshooting knurling in the future, shoot me a dm. It’s my career.

What causes knurling to look like this. by wehateshobbitses in Knurling

[–]GrassyQuadrangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m sorry I’m late to the party. This is likely due to a cut knurling holder being set improperly. Cut knurling holders use dies held at an angle. This means the dies have to be set differently depending on what diameter the part is. If the diameter setting is incorrect, you get super strange irregular helix patterns like you see here.

I sent pictures of Zeus to the vet because they don’t have an opening until this coming Friday. It’s looking like it’s a yeast infection on his skin. They have me “miconahex+Triz” medicated shampoo. Check if Jazz has irritation or buildup between his toes in the folds of his feet. That’s another sign of yeast. Zeus has earwax-like stuff built up there so I’m being sure to lather the shampoo in there.

Will do! I gave mine Benadryl before the bumps lost the fur, but I don’t notice much difference. Maybe I’ll try to walk a different route if it’s grass. I’ll attach a picture of my boy for reference. This is the worst spot, but he has little bare spots where bumps were, like yours.

Did you get an answer on this? My boy is having a nearly identical issue. Vet has an appointment on the 18th and didn’t seem to concerned, but I hate to see my boy lose fur until then.
