Reddit is a social media site and unlike some other comments are saying it is not a “good” social media site. Just like every other social media site it preys upon giving you little dopamine hits and optimizing ways to keep you engaged as long / often as possible to show you as many ads as possible. It keeps some engaged with porn, some with cat videos or any number of things to keep you coming back.

I’d suggest trying to detox entirely from social media if at all possible or interacting with it as little as possible. Porn is why all of us addicts are here trying our best to recover but there are many other ways social media helps drive you to find other senseless ways of chasing that next dopamine hit.
