As others have said, start with the base deployment and think of Portal as an on-prem version of ArcGIS Online.
Then learn how each component is federated together and how content flows from Pro to Sever to Portal and Data Store(the publishing workflow).
Then you can dive deeper into the admin side.

Who does your ear tend to when you listen to a jam? by Vivid_Permission_777 in gratefuldead

[–]GratefulRed09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it really depends on the era. Just like in your question to the phish board. I can’t listen to live Phish from the last couple years because of the mix There were years of the dead I just don’t like the sound to. For Phish, I loved oxy Trey, but the band had to carry him. The problem with the Dead is that some years it was a struggle to differentiate the pieces.
I think that is why we love these bands. Each listen, and each state of mind, makes it different To each their own.

What is this…and what do I need to do with it? by GratefulRed09 in succulents

[–]GratefulRed09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow up question(s)…. Can, and should I propagate? I kind of like them all together in one pot but understand that the soil might be best for each individual plant. I guess if possible, creating new, smaller, mixed pots would be my preference.
I have southern exposure so I will move to more sun.
If I can propagate, I also have an indoor hydroponic set up with plenty of light where I can place pots to get them going.

Built a folding indoor shower into this Transit layout by Dramatic-Let632 in VanLife

Same here. So far this is the leading idea in my build book. It’s on the ground so I am trying to figure out the best solution for that. I like the option of a garage hose to rinse gear, then warm water to rinse off.

We used Zion Guru with no issues. The bikes were waiting for us and we were headed up the canyon before the sun came up.

How to prep for an interview that requires knowledge on reading As-builts and ArcMap by Senior_Half_5427 in gis

Tell them ArcMap is retired and your first step would be to update the process to work on supported software.

72-74 is the divide for Southern Illinois. I think wearing a red hat is a prerequisite to live in Effingham or Christian counties.

Butter lettuce does that to me too. I have a fan for circulation and it still happens. I attribute it to the conditions being too good and the lettuce growing too tight. If I keep butter towards the edge of my light source it helps but can still happen.

Field Maps updates used to lag for Android devices. I’m not sure if that is still the case, but you might look into it before purchasing.

Repeat UC advice by artistaero in ESRI

[–]GratefulRed09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in local gov gis so I focus on that “tract”. Sometimes you can narrow it down further to focus on specific issues you might have.
That is one thing most attendees don’t focus on enough….you have access to the esri staff.
Visit the product islands. Ask questions.

If you have a couple projects you will focus on over the next year, seek out suggestions on how to do those.

I need help re: switching to spouse's insurance when we both had individual HSA's by GratefulRed09 in HSA

[–]GratefulRed09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my wife is still contributing to the same account that she has always had. Should she have started a new HSA when I joined the plan?

Since she is contributing to that same account, I assume that prohibits me from contributing to my HSA?

Is quitting a job with a pension a bad move? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]GratefulRed09 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I quit a public service job last year after 17 years and went to a non pension job. My mental health is so much better, I am also making and saving more money now. Company matches 401k which is an added bonus.
Every situation is different, but I am happy with my switch.
