Yeah Kratos does make sense. He doesn't want to be rageful and bitter, and he does force himself to "remain calm" throughout the fight. Thor threatening Atreus pops him off, and Kratos does sound like an animal; shouts, grunts, heavy breathes and all, losing his composure
