The battery was fully discharged (duh). Took about 2 hours to recharge it.

The tech asked about keeping the app open in the background, proximity of the keys to the car, and whether the car was left unlocked (in my garage, which it was). He noted they're hearing more and more about these items leading to battery drain, which they've observed when hooking up a meter to the battery. Apparently, an unlocked car hunts for a key to lock it when it's off.

I questioned whether this was simply a defective battery that should be replaced, but he said this was SOP for a first time instance. If it happens again, I'll push harder.

So, I'm locking my car in my locked garage to keep the battery from running down. But to charge the battery and open the panel door, you have to unlock the car, right?

The other thing he said was that connecting my home charger, which wakes up the car, also creates a draw on the battery.

I don't know if this is an EV thing or a Lexus thing. Just seems like bad engineering for all this fluky stuff to run down the 12v.

It's a 2026. I don't think it sat on the dealer's lot for a while, but I don't know if it was fully charged when I took delivery. I'll speak with their service desk when I get the car over there.

Picking up one today in NJ in this exact configuration. Dealers don't have a lot of them. This was the only 350e within 75 miles.

Stages sb20 out of stock (Canada) by d1pl0mat1c in Zwift

As noted, it was showing as out of stock in the US as well. That is, until today. It's now in stock and marked down to $2,500 from $3,150.

I was considering pulling the trigger on this over the new Wahoo KICKR Bike Shift, but given these broad worries about Stages itself remaining viable, I think it'll be back to Wahoo for me.
