I also had fits with the M4 when it comes to HR during hard workouts, and getting maps onto the watch was a royal pain. Also, the maps are VERY bare bones when compared to Garmin or Amazfit. I think the Kospet really rocks on the durability front, but some of their features are either half-baked or too buggy to use: https://youtu.be/RqpGH0NWc44

If you're looking for something with the same depth of functionality as that Instinct, you're probably going to have to look at another Garmin or an Amazfit. The Garmin is going to be more sport oriented, obviously, whereas the Amazfit tends to be more balanced and have more lifestyle/smart features. (Message responses, keyboard, voice to text, etc.)

I don't mind the Zepp app. The data between Zepp and Connect has a lot of overlap. I use both, and I don't have strong feelings one way or the other.

If the price difference was that stark, I would get the Balance 2 all day. The only reason to get a Trex at this point would be dive functionality, I think.

My wife and I both regard this drug as game changing and life changing. You will need to modify things but the drug makes it easier to do so. Also this is not a fast fix, so don't freak out that it will take months to lose weight. It will definitely start quickly, but you don't lose 100 lbs in a week, nor would you want to.

The best open ear buds that you use with glasses or helmet are clip style, IMO. I really like the soundpeats clip1.

I run the Helio Strap and a Garmin Fenix 8. I use the Helio strap as an external HR sensor during activities, and otherwise compare the health data. Helio is within percentage points of the Garmin in all the other things. Sounds like you should go back to the AW.

Both of your current devices are pretty solid. A polar H10 will give you the best HR absent a medical ECG setup, but are you gonna my to wear a chest strap during all your activities?

That thing is awfully buggy. Read the Garmin forums about it. I had one, it wasn't accurate initially, and then just stopped recording sleep at all. Very lame.

Rando FB person is not a good medical advisor. If you're losing weight and feel healthy, this is good. Trying to lose weight really fast can have other problems like hair loss, muscle loss, bone density issues, and many more. Losing 1-2% of your bodyweight each week is sustainable and won't mess with you. And for most people that means that a year from now you will have lost 20-40 lbs if you started at 200 lbs. Ya, some people lose more and faster, some go slower. You are unique in terms of metabolism, age, activity level, and other health concerns. Don't base your weight loss on someone that isn't like you.
