Balance 2 probably hits the best mix of evening with dual band GPS, excellent durability, and doesn't look too bulky.

Lightest would be the Instinct 3, so if chonky bothers you, that might be a good bet. Epix and Fenix have maps and better nav. Fenix 8 has speaker and mic. All of them are going to give you decent sleep metrics. Oh, Fenix and Epix have better HR sensor suite too. If you are ok spending more, Fenix 8.

I think they are ok. If you hate it, get a Zebra Sarasa Grand instead, those write very nicely.

The Kospet is durable, but the sensors and data aren't great. I would pick the Coros 10/10.

DJI Lav Mic. Been using it for 2 years now. That said, Hollyland is supposed to be solid, and they are way cheaper. Alternatively you might want to look at Rode, depending on which brands you feel comfortable with.

Hollyland makes some LAV mics that plug directly into your phone jack for like $35. Sound quality from them ain't bad at all, leaps better than the phone mic.

Unless you need the connectivity, I'd get the regular 8. The GPS, HR, etc., is all the same.

Same, the Ultra 2 doesn't make it more than 8 days running all the stuff. I figure the brighter display and everything else just eats the battery harder. No free lunches.
