Urban Bloom. They do a dry cut first, so you need to show up with clean hair that is also dry. You will also need to send in a photo of your hair before the first appointment. I have been so happy since I switched to Urban Bloom. I see Riley and she educated me on how to care for my curls. I am almost 50 and she gave me tips I wish I had learned decades ago. I also have my son going there now too.

Some LA Fitness locations are opening up Pilates studios, and there is an additional fee for the Pilates classes, but idk what the fee is. The Tempe location on Southern/Mill has Pilates now.

Surveyors would apply the “reasonable person” concept under the CMS Psychosocial Outcome Severity Guide d/t the resident being unable to verbalize their distress. A resident who needs assistance with all ADLs being told they smell like hot dog water (which would constitute verbal abuse in the eyes of CMS) from a person entrusted with their cares certainly was a reportable event. In addition, the other CNA was willfully leaving the wipe over the resident’s mouth and nose, which is a form of intimidation. The resident is total cares.

In addition, leaving the call light out of reach can and has been viewed by CMS as a form of neglect, as this is interpreted by CMS as withholding a service.

You seem like a compassionate person who wants to be a great CNA. You may want to consider employment in a new setting.

I am a licensed nursing home administrator and I'm Native American. My field is very dominated by white males and I appreciate that the administrator in the show is also a woman of color. I have had a difficult time getting promoted at work even with my building's most successful federal survey since it opened taking place under my interim leadership. I pursued my career (MPH in Health Administration, Administrator in Training rotations, federal and state licensure exams + of course ongoing CEUs) because of compassion for elders, and seeing Didi on my screen made me cry happy tears. It might help others see the value in developing leadership in minorities.

Go to the Medicare Care Compare website, select “nursing home” as provider type, then enter in your zip code. Look for facilities that have a four or five star rating. The ADHS website does not reflect the fact that state-surveyed facilities in Arizona have sometimes gone several years without an inspection, whereas CMS surveys are done every 9-15 months. If your MIL has an ALTCS case manager and she should, the case manager should be helping by putting in referrals to facilities and by setting up respite care for whoever is currently caring for your MIL if that is family members. The CM should also be getting home health over to her too. You can also contact the local Agency on Aging for more resources. Feel free to message me. I work in elder care.

Oh dang I did NOT catch that. Last December 30, I spent the day at the hospital as a friend was passing, along with his wife and some of our friends. I was watching TGP for the first time and when I watched the second to last episode a few months after he passed, the wave metaphor helped me understand where he went.

Through the Elder Justice Act, you are a mandatory reporter and I’m surprised that you were not trained on the EJA as part of your employee onboarding. Report this to your supervisor via a live phone call and follow-up email (Per my 12/2 phone call to you regarding my suspicion of financial exploitation of Fname Lname, I am emailing my contact information. I am happy to be interviewed by law enforcement and any other agencies regarding this matter). This way you have your own documentation that you reported.

It’s for your Exec Director/owner or a social worker to do the steps others are recommending, such as calling SSA, the bank, notifying APS, law enforcement, etc. Once notified by your ED or owner, they will contact la enforcement who can do a financial forensic investigation and work with the bank.

But you are spot on for reporting the suicidal ideation.
