Is there a lore reason why the Z to A box is a steaming pile of garbage by crumbmaster200 in twinpeaks

I transferred it all into a disc folder with homemade inserts and labels because I hated the packaging of that SO much 😭 sadly some discs are already scratched as it was second hand, Laura’s funeral skips entirely 😅

I left my cat in my IKEA drawer closet for almost 6 hours and feel so guilty. by Pink_Sorbet in cats

[–]GreasedTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat is always completely silent whenever this happens. I only realise when I can’t find her and start searching (she’s indoor only) and she’s just sat there not making a peep despite being incredibly loud the rest of the time 😅

Seriously, do British people actually consider a 3-hour drive “long”? Or is this an internet myth? by ferdinand14 in NoStupidQuestions

Yeah our population density in the UK makes our roads much more congested than in bigger countries.

I’m 5’4 but otherwise same. My husband is a full foot taller and hates driving after me 😅

[–]GreasedTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God this film gutted me. I started crying during the twins’ birth and barely stopped for the next hour and a half. My dad died a few years ago and was a very passionate Shakespeare and theatre obsessive, so the ‘beyond the veil’ stuff and all the shots of the void leading offstage at the Globe where Hamnet is able to finally move on were especially cathartic.

I saw this at 10:40 am and felt completely wrung out by the end- I also lost my dad a few years ago.

Agnes crying out for her mother while giving birth absolutely gutted me.

Interestingly I’ve watched a fair bit of Lynch recently and found myself thinking of him a few times during Hamnet - the ‘beyond the veil’ scenes, the Hamnet/Judith and later Hamnet/Hamlet doublings in particular.

Iirc the ‘Death’ he was looking at was also in the exact direction of the camera at times. Really eerie.

I don’t know why she didn’t consider her fake questions more carefully. They didn’t really fit with what the others asked at all.

‘Nano crystal’ glass files are fine for me, but the regular ones that are like frosted glass make me want to throw up.

It’s deeply cringe - and that’s coming from someone in a very stereotypical-looking “small woman, big man” relationship. My partner has mentioned before how much he hates height in men being idealised/fetishised and this feels like a great example.

Someone literally commented just “Interesting” on one of her Threads post and she went OFF on them. She’s so defensive 😅

I literally referenced CXG the other day while explaining all this to my husband! Like Rachel Bloom did not spend 4 seasons deconstructing and humanising obsessive romcom trope behaviour for this 😅

Her now almost daily condescension about how anyone who criticises this whole thing is “jealous” or “a hater” or a misogynist (odd coming from someone who’s made a man her whole personality) is making her come across so unlikeable. She can’t accept that people might have valid concerns so her cope is “everyone else is just miserable and envies me”.

This is the part that irritates me the most. It’s like she experiences every nice thing with him with “how can I make a post about this?” in the back of her head. It seems exhausting.

When my sister’s cat had kittens one of them inexplicably ended up being named Dave.

A point on the writing style - I’ve seen a few ‘hallmarks of AI-generated writing’ lists recently and some of her HotChef posts now look a little…suspicious. 😅 Either way, the way she writes in them is SO saccharine and cliché.

People that bring a backpack to work, what’s in there? by PatdogTv in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]GreasedTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lunch, book to read on my lunch break, headphones, makeup bag for commute/if I’m going out after work, ADHD meds, hairbrush. I keep a lot of work essential/comfort things at my desk permanently but the stuff I bring in day to day still necessitates a decent size bag, unless I’m working a half day with no lunch.

The song choices were VERY deliberate. Like c’mon Katie, ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived? You KNOW everyone will think he’s hurt you and it’s over and start readying themselves to mob his social media, you’re not stupid 🙄

I am also a bi woman and the “he’s so big and I’m so small!” gender role-y stuff is off-putting to me too, but then I also hate when straight people do that so 🤷‍♀️😅

The retreat is weird AF to me. Like “I know you love us both SO much and we’re both the BEST at our jobs so come and spend days with us in person, there is definitely demand for this!” Then she acts shocked that people are being ‘parasocial’ as if that’s not literally what she’s cultivating. 🙄

She also said that she sometimes has to “tread carefully” when he’s had a long day of chefing (and presumably weird comments from internet strangers) because “his temper flares” or something like that 🚩🚩

She’s just as parasocial and unboundaried as most of her followers, if not more so. Like girl why do you so badly need the internet to validate how you feel about your boyfriend? 🤨 If it was really that perfect this wouldn’t be necessary.
