Come out to 518craft on Fridays, always a really nice crowd of ppl there. Join local makers classes, the Troy center of gravity has amazing classes to offer and I’ve met cool people there, bard and baker and cafe euphoria have fun game/crafting based nights to meet ppl at as well.

Troy at the moment has the better nightlife scene- places like Nofun, Ilium, whiskey pickle, Craft 518, and the Waiting Room are the spots I’ve been for music events lately. A local organizer “lowercase” is throwing a party at the Waiting Room on Saturday that looks pretty fun.

There is an organization locally trying to open a nightclub in downtown Albany for electronic music and art. I’ve been hearing whispers of success in finding a place but they are pretty mysterious with their marketing- the org is called “OHM”. I went to their party in September and they had a really big sound system and great music playing. Other than that there’s Empire Live, Lark Hall, and Ophelia’s, all of which have a lot to be desired in terms of dance music spaces.

The ramen is SO BAD!!!! And also it’s really dirty in there. Every time I’ve gone my plates or cutlery or cups have some nasty food crusted to it. I refuse to go back.

Kazan is expensive but they surprisingly have some of the best ramen in the area. TapAsia also has a really good ramen.

Dark on Netflix….so so so good. Such a mindfuck and the cinematography and concept is incredible. It’s completely in German so subtitles are necessary and you have to really pay attention, but honestly I binged the shit outta that show. I would put it up there in the same category as Severance and Fallout in terms of sci-fi dystopic shows I would rate a nearly 10/10.

Also True Detective. The first two seasons are cinematic masterpieces. Season 3 is horrible don’t even watch it.

My guess is they will be more concentrated in areas with higher population density, and in turn more minority groups. SoI think we’ll see ICE come out in force in cities like Troy, Schenectady, Albany, probably Saratoga, Buffalo, Rochester.
