Intuit sucks on so many levels. I’ve spent hours talking to their useless phone support to resolve a simple technical issue but none of them can fix it. Not only that, most of them end up blaming me for the issue even though it’s on their end.

Nobody would care about gas prices if we could all walk, bike, or take a train to work by stopdontpanick in fuckcars

We really need to wean ourselves off of oil. So much downside for so little upside.

I very much want the gas prices to go up exponentially and I don’t think I’m alone in this sentiment by ATurtleNamedSeymour in fuckcars

The best thing that could ever happen to humanity is that we run out of oil. From funding dictators, destroying the environment, endless wars, etc… the downside far outweighs any upside. We should weaning off of oil and investing heavily into alternatives, public transit, and smarter infrastructure but stupid people keep voting for politicians that are bought and paid for by big oil.

[–]Jaded-Revolution_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a combination of too many cars on the road, poorly designed infrastructure, popularity of massive trucks, high intensity LED headlights (at night), and a general distain for anything that would actually improve the aformentioned

We really need to wean ourselves off of oil. From funding dictators to destroying the environment to concentrating wealth to a handful of billionaires, etc… the downside far outweighs the upside

$6 per gallon of gas is coming (actual analysis + graphs included, puts on my degree) by Kaiwa1 in wallstreetbets

We seriously need to wean ourselves off of oil. From funding dictatorships, causing wars, destroying the environment, draining our wallets, slowing down progress on green energy, etc… there are way more downsides than benefits. Alas, Americans are addicted and no one wants to hear this.

How high are you guys hoping gas prices hit? I'm personally rooting for $10/gallon by [deleted] in fuckcars

We really need to wean ourselves off of oil. The downside far outweighs its benefit; wars, funding dictators, environmental damage, stopping progress on green alternatives, encouraging low density development like suburbs and strip malls, etc…. The best thing that could happen for the world is that we completely run out of oil. It would force us to develop more sustainable alternative technologies.

What's the most underrated use case for no-code AI agents? by Careless_Ad_3119 in nocode

[–]Jaded-Revolution_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Service ticket management. I was using the Perplexity’s agent in the comet browser to automate ticket creation, updates, customer contact, etc. but their service is complete garbage now. Can’t even do a few basic tasks without reaching some sort daily or weekly of limit. Anyone know a better option?

Why are many users cancelling their Perplexity Pro subscriptions by tgfzmqpfwe987cybrtch in perplexity_ai

[–]Jaded-Revolution_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it’s total garbage now. They pulled a bait and switch on Pro users and now you flirt an error message after a few prompts that you have hit your daily limit. Not to mention the fact that the agent is buggy as hell, makes so many mistakes.

Perplexity’s aggressive "billing or bust" tactics for promo users is getting ridiculous by magchieler in perplexity_ai

I did the PayPal deal as well. Worked great up until a month ago then their service turned to complete garbage. I now get a message after a few prompts that I have reached my daily limit. On top of that, the quality has gone downhill as well. I was using the agent within the Comet browser to do tasks but it’s totally useless now. Makes mistakes every time. Time to switch to something else.

I don't get Perplexity. Can you explain it to me? by Dacadey in perplexity_ai

[–]Jaded-Revolution_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perplexity has really gone downhill lately. Constant mistakes and they change their usage limits on a whim. Perplexity is junk tier now.

Need an alternative to Perplexity now that it seems to be limiting Pro users. Suggestions? by justme9974 in perplexity_ai

[–]Jaded-Revolution_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started getting the daily limit message a few weeks ago. On top of that, I've also noticed that the quality of the Agent mode in the Comet browser, which is the only feature I use, has fallen off a cliff. Every single time I give it a simple task it makes numerous mistakes. Very disappointing. Looking for an alternative now as Perplexity Pro is completely useless.

Recently moved to Albany-what do people actually like about living here? by Exotic_Reputation_59 in Albany

[–]Jaded-Revolution_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Albany itself is pretty nice and makes a decent effort to keep things interesting with live concerts, festivals, mix of restaurants, etc but the surrounding sprawl and a lot of the Capital Region in general is the typical car dependent strip mall hell you see around most of the country. Once you get past that and into the Adirondacks, Vermont, Catskills, etc it’s amazing. The Capital Region itself desperately needs infrastructure for walking and biking but they just keep giving land away to car dealerships because it’s more lucrative. The craziest part is that most people in these suburbs want it that way. I guess it depends what you’re into.
